Now that Legacy BSN disappeared, it is a pain to look up old mechanics threads.

Noticed that BSN disappeared yesterday and I just get redirected here.

I guess it is nice that this forum's search is slightly better than old BSN's.

This is a legit concern. ;)

Especially since even some people who are old timers ask about this stuff.

They aren't gone, just "Locked".

Yep, you can't access the old Read Only BSN any longer.

If it miraculously updated links in old threads, that would have been cool.  The "In Game Numerical Tests" thread was the most important thread for ME3.

You can thank DR for that and a lot of other threads, and find them in the library. I already re-bookmarked it. However, lots of other great threads got lost... :(

I'm a little confused why you'd need that. It's a hell of a lot easier finding old threads here.

What got lost? Am I losing it or something?

That thread has links to posts within itself and other mechanics threads.  All of them are broken here.  It was five times faster clicking a link from that archive than searching and finding the right result.

You're referring to this thread right? The links in the OP redirect to the new site for me, unless I'm still missing your point......

So... Is it broken, or not?

Cause if it is, I guess someone will have to fix it by manually looking for each thread... Boring work, but I guess I might even do it myself. That thread is just too important.

I've clicked about 15 of them and they all work, so I'm inclined to believe there isn't an issue.

Some of them are broken.  Click Cranial Trauma for instance.  Maybe it is only a couple links that don't work. ;)

Looks like the ones that go to specific posts within threads don't always work right.

So far I have found that threads have been transferred, not fully gone. A good google search (I throw in site:social.bioware.com and that still helps) will bring it up and you'll get redirected to the thread on the new site... If there are threads are actually broken, I have not found them yet. Perhaps links to specific posts did not transfer right though.

Yeah it looks like the links to posts within threads aren't working quite right, ones to original threads work fine.

I guess it isn't as big a deal as some of the groups going away.

If i tested it right, it s moslty the link to specific post in thread on bsn that are not redirected well here... And many of peddro's thread links linked to posts along the thread... and are quite difficult to find. Anyway @gamemako, we cant edit other's post, so...

Yes, some of old thread links not working, being redirected to the wrong ones, hope someone in Bioware will sort that out.
