Now that I've piqued your interest with a poorly worded topic title, allow me to elaborate.

 

I'm currently on my second playthrough of the Trilogy and I'm finally at the best time to play the Citadel DLC (ie. right before Priority: Cerberus Headquarters).

 

Now, anyone who has played Citadel knows that you are saved by your LI after being attacked by mercs. However, Liara comes to your rescue if you have no LI or he/she has not yet been "locked in". My LI this PT is Miranda, so I'm expecting to hear her lovely Aussie voice over the comm...

 

Only to have Liara call me.

 

Now, I'm thinking there are three possibilities: this is a bug/glitch; Miranda has not been locked in as my LI; or Miranda can't save me because she is not an LI that can.

 

The first is always a possibility. **** happens.

 

The second is unlikely. Obviously, I romanced her in ME2, which carries over to ME3. We even did it on the Citadel. I also did all of her missions to make sure that she could attend the party. She should be locked in.

 

So, I ask: Is it even possible for Miranda to come to your rescue? Can she at least go to the party at the Casino?

No. Only party members who are LIs can save you. Otherwise, it's Liara.

Those who romance Steve, Miranda, Jack, Samantha and no romance will have Liara show up at the dealership.

But the thing he is did the missions for Miranda to join the party. It's either a bug or you missed a quest for her.

-Only ME3 members can be involved with the 4 mission storyline, plus Wrex (Kaidan/Ashley, Liara, Tali, Garrus, James, EDI, Javik, Steve, Samantha, Joker, Wrex)

-Visits are with all trilogy LIs (either in the apartment or outside of it), plus more (like a Samara 'romance')

-The Party is with all trilogy LIs, plus more (like a couple joke scenes)

 

Miranda is a valid Citadel LI and imo the best one.

Miranda isn't involved with the Citadel DLC conspiracy mission storyline, at all. Only current Normandy pals are + Wrex.

 

 

One of the promo pics has Miranda in it, sure, which is weird, but for all we know, she was cut.

BW is playing the favorite game in Citadel. It makes no sense for any of the ME2 characters to have nothing to do with the plot to Citadel, but have them show up for a party afterwards. 

 

Miranda of all people would be the best person in the ME2 team for the Citadel proper mission, due to the (duh duh duh) connection the Clone has to Shepard, and Brooks' past with Cerberus.

When they say "party members" they don't mean guests to the party, they mean literally Squadmembers.

Miranda is not a ME3 squadmate outside of Armax Arsenal Arena. hence she can't show up.

But you think she'd have the most knowledge of it, and connection to the plot compared to other characters like, say, Wrex.

On the other hand, Miranda does get two meetups.  Only she and Jack get more than one.

She could be dead. That's the point I'm making. That's why it defaults to liara for the greeting.

As regards to her in the main citadel quest then maybe she could be, but again she could be dead. Again, that's why liara and EDI take the lead on the investigating. It's amazing the benefits of having characters who are not guaranteed to be dead can have when it comes to these things.

So they couldn't put her in the story if she's even alive? Which she is in all my play through's. Oh and Garrus can be dead too but he in their so can Jack....

Miranda's in the DLC. So is Jack. But they're not squadmates, so they don't get to be in the main story. 

Garrus/Tali are squadmates in ME3. It's simple as that.
