Is it possible that our inquisitor could be our PC from previous games? Would you want that?

I don't follow. What does Warden and Champion have to do with anything?
As for if I wanted that, I don't know. I wouldn't mind revisiting my Warden though.. just not sure about here.

Your warden was from Origins, your champion from DA2. Everyone wondered where they went. Instead of creating a new character what if you were able to play as ne from your previous games?

We already know we're not playing as either Hawke or our Wardens. We've seen trailers that confirm this. It's a new protagonist.

How have the trailers confirm this? It says only one person survived the blast. Cassandra was looking for both the warden and champion, who's to say she hasn't found them and they joined her cause? They are important, so they would be welcomed at any summit. Inquisitor is a title, and folks can hold more than one title.

For starters, the family names for the different Inquisitor races don't match up with the DA:O ones. The human family name in Inquisition isn't Hawke.

The developers have stated that we are not playing as a previous protagonist again.
Several times.

I wasn't arguing that the inquisitor must be the warden or champion, only that it might be the players choice.

The PC's are going to have last names that vary depending on race, matching neither Hawke nor any of the Origins surnames.

The inquisitor is a completely new character and a completely new protagonist to the series and has no ties to either the warden or Hawke, you can't be an Amell either. Their plan is to have a new protagonist in every game in the series and have said it's not about a single character rathe it's about the world's we create, and they've said this numerous times over the year's.
Mike Laidlaw
Since I'm in a sharing mood, I will put this out there: our intention is that for each major release of Dragon Age, you will take up the mantle of a new character. This does not mean your old character may never appear in future games, but as far as the core protagonist goes, if there is a DA III, it will very likely be neither Hawke nor The Warden.
We want to keep the series about the time and place, rather than about any singular character. While I know not everyone prefers that approach, I believe it's perfectly valid, especially if certain plans of ours to shore up world consistency (import bugs really bother me!) come to fruition, which I believe they will.
And that's all I can say about that.
David Gaider
Correct. Neither the Warden nor Hawke will be the PC for DA3. If either of those characters appear, it will be as NPC's only. We've clearly said this several times, so I'm uncertain why it's still a question.
http://forum.bioware...ge-3/?bioware=1
Also Gaider already stated many many many times that if the warden and hawke do physically show up in DAI and in one thread about playing as or recruiting them his response was this.
http://social.biowar...ndex/17301622/2David Gaider
I've said it before and I'll say it again: if Hawke and/or the Warden appear, they will not be playable. They are now NPC's. Ideally the player will have a say in their import state (and thus their appearance), but that does not extend to control over their actions following the end of the stories they originally appeared in. That said, I doubt we would go out of our way to have them do things which would be wildly problematic... but that really depends on what one personally considers "wildly problematic", particularly if they have very specific headcanon regarding what they believe their former PC's went on to do
http://social.biowar...ndex/17130247/3David Gaider
We'll probably have enough problems with some folks chafing at any attempt by the writers to give the Warden or Hawke an actual place in the story ("why can't I choose it? Why can't you just write different versions of every conversation to accommodate all my previous choices as well as my headcanon?") despite them both now being NPC's... putting them in the party would only open up calls for the player to roleplay them just as they roleplay the Inquisitor. Three PC's, in other words.
So, no. HELL no. Despite how awesome that might seem in your head, it would not be that awesome in practice
There's numerous other thing's they've said but you get the point, there's a 0% chance of this happening.

Well, as far as the gist of the DA:I story goes as we know it, they are not connected at all, just like Hawke was not connected to my GW, and this is a new protagonist. So no, I wouldn't want that, especially since DA2 broke the PC continuity from Origins to DA2 and that's the path to which Bioware wanted to take the DA series.

Warden + Champion = Inquisitor.
Then I activate de-fusion, (because I'm sure a lot of wardens would rather kill themselves, than be fused with hawke.)
