Most games seem to dismiss the body, since for the most part, clothes generally go overtop. If we ever see any tattoos, it's on the characters face. Rarely have I seen body art, and I'd love to see that implemented in DA:I, given this beautiful picture below:
Now, if these said tattoos could also have runic enchantments... that would be even more badass. ![]()

I'm not really expecting BioWare to change their tendencies in that regard. Whatever the concept art may show.
Would be a pleasant surprise, that's for sure.

I liked the facial tattoos, and Champion mage Hakes arm piece. More tattoos are better, and piercings would be cool too.

Even if it's just a little bonus for Qunari in specific, that would be pretty sweet considering what we've seen in both this concept art and in DA2.

When did BioWare last allow body tattoos? NWN?

Would be cool, but I think because your body is covered up with Armor/Clothes 99.999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% of the time, Bioware will almost always put resources into something else. Even if that something else is making better-looking nugs.

Maybe? I can barely remember, it was so long ago. I just want body runic enchangments that up my strength or skill, but also make me look awesome when I'm only wearing pants, etc.

I think at least one of the player character models in Jade Empire had tattoos, but we're talking customizable, aren't we? In which case, you're correct. When did BioWare last allow body tattoos? NWN?

It'd definitely be nice to have but as mentioned by Deflagratio a couple posts above, we won't be able to see them... unless they made armor pieces similar to the one the qunari is wearing the concept art which i doubt they'd do except for the qunari race of course.
If you play on PC there are always "tattoo" mods.. but in my opinion they're rarely any good.

This is like saying that because we wear clothes every day, there's no point in a tattoo. I don't have any in real life and I don't really plan to either, but for an option in game? This I wouldn't complain about at all.

I see this game talked about so often, clearly I should play it. I'm just hesitant, as I heard it's left on a cliffhanger.

I don't think the Qunari have tattoos, it's more like war paint but either way i would love to see it in the game as a customization option.

I figured if it was just paint, it would wash away over time. But perhaps because it's a game, the visuals will always remain consistent.

I would say it wrapped up rather neatly. I don't recall even thinking there was something missing or unresolved. Granted, I felt the same way about KotOR. More than that, I can't say. It's been a while. Also, not entirely on-topic.I see this game talked about so often, clearly I should play it. I'm just hesitant, as I heard it's left on a cliffhanger.

Yeah, love tattoos, had a lot of time to "paint" my player on NBA 2K14. But I don't like face tattoo and that's why I don't like the dalish... It would be nice to put some body art, even with few options.

Personally, I didn't have a problem with the dalish facial tattoos. I just felt there wasn't enough selection.
