Also is there a way around it?

I think its when she is doing all of that flipping about. She has like 75% damage reduction while she does it (on host). The answer is to break that barrier of hers, or force her to put up her anti-tech/biotic bubble. During that time she is much easier to hit and kill - her hit box is actually larger. Shoot the bubble she is in (actually over her head) and you can even score head shots.

Does it still apply if she's dodging powers or melee? Or is it only guns?
Also is there a way around it?
Asari Adept or Vanguard, Volus Adept ... Stasis the flipping space ninja.
Alternatively any kit with a stagger weapon - Vorcha Hunter with a Falcon is one of my personal favourites; Falcon stagger > SubNet > lulz
When she's flipping, weapon damage doesn't really apply (massive DR) and when she puts up the bubble, power damage doesn't apply (neither does Krogan heavy melee annoyingly) ... the problem with on-host is that she can flip from one to the other instantly so you're pretty much hosed either way :|
After a host migration the other day I ended up with a Quarksman/Saber against Cerberus; I host so seldom I'd forgotten how much of a PITA Phantoms are on host. You can nail them pretty easily with headshots using that kit ... but not when there are 4 of them gang-rushing you :|

So Stasis will instantly kill them with no more shooting? Wow, things I never knew.

Well, it can if you are in a specific part of the Rio map, or so have I heard ![]()

I find that shooting them in the head tends to work really well.
Besides, if you're playing on host, you can completely disable a phantom's ranged attacks just by hitting them with a single bullet which invariably causes them to flip... and stop shooting for about 2.5 seconds, long enough to make a break for some cover if you've just been caught in the open with your panties round your ankles.
The DR might boost their toughness, but it ruins their offensive capabilties. The flip prevents them using their nasty palm blaster attack and is a great way of convincing them not to sync kill you if they get all up in your grill.

Hmmm. It seems like sometimes firing at them (especially with autos) just triggers "evade" turning on the DR and depending on the range does not guarantee that they will flip.
