Both were sensitive and unsure of themselves
How are they different?
Alistair doesn't jump into romance and Marc did. Marc didn't even know Katriel when he went to bed with her. I have to say that Alistair would show more restraint.
What are your thoughts?
Both are prone to spontaneous insanity* and otherwise complete non-entities. In Alistair's case it's because they made him a tagger-along in the game, in Maric's case it's because he was written by Gaider. Contrast book-Loghain and game-Loghain, for example, or book-Duncan and game-Duncan.
