Sentinel, but my Stim Pack bonus power isn't compatible with the Sentinel class. Haven't checked to see if the bonus power remains in the medbay if I change to Sentinel. Right now, I'm Vanguard but I switch around a lot.

Engineer. The combat drone saved me so many times during my ME2 insanity run, and I never get tired of back to back combos in ME3. Fire explosions and tech bursts!

Vanguard with a lightened claymoore, nova, and lash (never used). It's all melee range destruction in my favorite runs.

I pretty much play as a headbutting force of randomized charge destruction. If I can't melee it, I don't want to fight it. And there is NOTHING in the game I can't melee, except the Reapers, ever since I found that one harvester I can punch in the face for the most satisfying of deaths.

....Engineer's pretty fun, too. Go, my minions!

Pistol infiltrator all the way in ME1. If I'm going to have to deal with gameplay I dislike, I at least demand the ability to abuse that gameplay's weaknesses to my heart's content.

I don't really have a strong class preference in ME2, apart from not really being a fan of the Adept. But when I go back into the game to carry an import through to ME3, I usually play a Widow/Mattock Soldier or a Claymore Vanguard, simply to speed things up.

I enjoy playing a sort of combat Engineer in ME3 best: crack all the protections, fire off all the tech combos, and troll the bejeezus out of enemies with the drone, the turret, and Sabotage. Usually take AP Ammo and bring a Valkyrie or Vindicator because burst-fire ARs make me feel all soldier-y.

That is, I don't recall engineer Shepard getting any special tech knowledge in dialogue or the like.

Once in the ME3 Omega DLC, when the Engineer gets a class-specific Paragon interrupt that allows her to bypass a Cerberus block and save lives.

There's also a dialogue mention during the infiltration of the Silver Coast Casino in ME3's Citadel DLC, when Engi Shep expresses familiarity with hacking security systems and Brooks can mention that she'd forgotten you were an engineer.

They got better about acknowledging the Engi's tech proficiency with later content. Better late than never, I guess.

I like being a soldier because it's a well rounded class. Sentinel has to be the worst for me because it's so boring.

Vanguard. It's the most satisfying class for me. I love charging straight into a group, spawning a nova and punching my way to victory.

Kills all enemies in the way, and brings two squadmates everywhere, sometimes extinct races and robots, 'cause that's inconspicuous as s---.  Never sneaks by anyone ever, but can cloak for a short time.  "Infiltrator".

Not denying their in-game effectiveness, they're my favorite class in MP, but to call them infiltrators just seems silly.

Haha, I miss the pistol of constant streaming death.

Soldier is my personal canon for right now.

I'm thinking about revising that though, and altering my personal canon (on my next playthrough) by having Shepard start off as a soldier and emerge from the Lazarus Project as one of the biotic classes. It might make make sense for Cerberus to have done some additional tinkering and 'improved' Shepard.

That's how I headcanon the Vanguard charge. Cerberus installed brand new factory fresh L5x implants.

My first play through was Infiltrator, Soldier, Infiltrator.

Second play through was Soldier, Vanguard, Vanguard.

I've played everything on MP and may make a Sentinel Shepard at some point, but mostly I enjoy Infiltrator or Soldier. I'm a decent shot and enjoy the run and shoot mechanics of ME 2 and 3.

"Vanguardept".

A mix of Vanguard and Adept. Depending of my mood and the situation, I can either NovaCharge my way though, or bombard enemies from far away with Pull, Shockwave and Flare. The Venom shotgun also helps debilitating heavy groups of enemies, taking down turrets or Atlases/Banshees/whatever.

I'm making an Insanity, strict No-MediGel run (at least until lvl 60), and by now it's a piece of cake.

"Assault" Sentinel is my MainShep's class, and the one I've played most, so it'll probably always be my favorite. Biotics and tech, explosive armor, shotguns, lift grenades and a pretty cool melee move in ME3 too. Only thing it's missing is some fire attacks. Vanguard is second. (Can you guess why? Fire attacks and even more close-combat biotic explosions.)

I always use both. I always set Cryo for squad and Incendiary just for Shepard, and you can basically activate Cryo first, and then Incendiary for yourself so the other two members can freeze everything while you set them on fire. It's especially handy when you have team members who have no ammo powers, like Javik, Kaidan and EDI. I sure wish Vanguard had Disruptor Ammo. Electrocuting everything is pretty sweet.

Why didn't I think of this? The fire and ice combo is perfect for my Vanguard!  :D Now I know what to do on the replay.

Last time I did a sniper infiltrator I used the Raptor as my main gun with James' squad incendiary ammo. It was different. I could manage quite a few shots before the time dilation wore off. But I actually found that SR on a soldier shep using the AR time dilation instead was preferable.
