So if you are devoted to your family, then you are going to screw your entire extended family? If you are devoted to politics, you are gonna **** all over the parlament?... Yeah... I hope you see the faulty logic in your statement...

There is nothing faulty with the logic. If you want to make someone feel good and they ask for sex, and they really mean a lot to you, then you do it. Most people have lines they wont cross for anyone, but full devotion has no lines.

You are not the template from which the world is created.

What may be true to for you, can be anathema for another.

Then don't say it's incorrect if it's subjective.
But to be fair the template of devotion is correct and pretty objective.

Not really. A person can be devoted to someone and still unwilling to cross some lines. It's your interpretation that devotions means there aren't line that wouldn't be crossed.

Well yah. Previous post just sounded as if asexual couples have more devoted relationships.

Yeah I said full devotion, there is an extent to devotion.

I woudn't call it 'full'. I would call it extreme (or worse), if a person is really willing to cross any lines for another person. Though I'm not talking about having sex.

What's more extreme than full? Full is like complete no?

If this is about the worse part in my post, with it I didn't mean something more extreme. I meant that this type of devotion could be called insane, or unhealthy.

Well opinions, depends on what you want in life. Personally I would give anything to have a person like that in my life, someone very special who would be by my side no matter what, and I would give no less in return.

Would you really do anything he/she ask?
If this question is too personal, I apologize.

Yes, if they would do the same for me.

Why such a specific question? Do they even have the concept of sexuality? I'm pretty sure it wouldn't matter at all.

Isn‘t everyone forgetting that we already have an example of a qunari-human same-sex relationship?

The Viscount's son Seamus and the qunari Ashaad were a (brief) couple, the devs confirmed it a couple of years ago. It was rather subtle, but that was the subtext of that whole storyline. I'm a bit surprised it hasn't come up in six pages.

Whether the qun religion-society-hivemind as a whole approves or disapproves of homosexuality is another matter, and I suspect only Mary would know for sure.

It was not confrimed they were a couple. What David Gaider actually said:

So we should, what? Have a pair of ambient elves in the market who talk publicly about how much they like both men and women? A codex entry where Brother Genitivi discusses "Sexuality in Thedas"?

It's not something that comes up because it's private-- and also because there are no terms that exist in that era. In our own history, the need to study and categorize sexuality didn't come about until the late 19th century... prior to that, it wasn't even a concept. The act was considered far more relevant than the impulse. So when it comes up outside of the player's personal experience, it's going to be either vague or implied (such as Wade & Herren, Branka & Hespith or the Viscount's son).

I'm not going to question why you feel the need to have the world further advertise that sexuality is not treated the same as in our world when that's what the party members are showing you-- but I will suggest that the problem is yours and not one to be blamed on "world-building". You might be seeing what you want to see.

I'm sure they find a way to satisfy the demands of their qun. I hear quite a few of them are denied Par Vollen, however. i'm hoping a physician can rectify that.

Fair enough. I don't agree with the concept, but as you said, opinions.

This is btw sadly why I never get the romance I want. It's always "i cant put you ahead of my people, ahead my faith, my ritual", and the protagonist is like "yah, I cant put you ahead of my heroic quest either". Which to me feels shallow. And there is no way around it.

Back on topic I think Qunari would discourage a deep relationship with a particular person, Qun and collective as a whole should come first. Being friendly is good but to everybody equally.

Homosexuality would be purposeless within the Qun. Gay sex does not breed offspring and would be a waste. And Qunari do not waste.

What would they do to homosexuals within the Qun? force-labor them to death?

First, educate them to not act on the urges like everyone else. If that fails, the person would be a tal-vashoth, and then they would do what you said.

I doubt they would care. Though sex for reproduction purpose is inevitable, gay or not

Can you have sex with the opposite sex as a gay person? Because as a straight person, I'm not sure I would be able to bring myself to arousal with the same sex, much less reach ejaculation.
