While that would be awful, it's also unlikely. Bioware has a history of learning from past mistakes. Also, isn't it supposed to have like 40 endings? That's a lot of colored cupcakes

Also the Dragon Age team is completely different from the Mass Effect team.

I can't recall the exact phrasing, but they have said that there will be:

1) Hundreds of small changes to the endings (like the slides depending on side-quests form DA:O, thought we don't know how that will be implemented).

2) 40 larger changes to the ending depending on major decisions (Mages vs Templars, Celene vs. Gaspard, Fate of the elven rebellion, etc would be my guess)

3) "a handful" of completely unique endings (not sure what that means, but I would guess the results of some important choice/action at the end).

How exactly these are all going to flow together we don't know.

if anything, they made me want to kill both sides even more... it just made me more neutral in their conflict

Yeah, I wanted an option "Wall off the Gallows and bunker down with Bethany and friends until the templars and mages killed each other"

Whether or not you did the ritual will likely come up, whether or not you romanced her or not will come up because if you romanced her and slept with her results in her having a child with the warden and the fact they said any involvement she has in the story will have to factor in her children and have more than a mention that they're hidden somewhere's, whether or not you went through the eluvian with her or let he go or stabbed her, " killed" or left Flemeth alone and made a deal with her, will also probably come up.

They said that they will honor our choices, but I don't think she even knows where the warden is or will provide everything easily.

At that point I'd skewered enough of both.  Can't hog all the fun, now, can I? :D

If they had just made Anders the evil mage boss DA2 would have made so much more sense....Or had Orsino blow up the chantry, either way.

I'm not concerned. If they were just going to ignore her stories from Origins, then they'd have not bothered in the first place.

And they shouldn't tread lightly. They should go with what makes sense to them and makes a good story while being true to the characters, not going out of the way to please the fans . They do that just the right amount as is.
