So I've found a new article(....new to me at least), and the article itself is a good read; however most of what is there is already known. What I DIDN'T know and was quite happy to see was the game's story taking 40-50 hours to complete (without skipping scenes) and over 100 hours if we opt to do all of the side quests (which I will for sure). It may take me a few months to finish the games since free time is a rare luxury for my wife and me (she's more excited for DA:I than I am in fact....and that's saying something lol), but I am immensely pleased at such news and look forward to visiting the world of Dragon Age again. Anyone else glad to hear we'll have such a meaty game? Anyone preferring more of a shorter experience that doesn't take so long? Sound off and good day to you all! :)

Almost forgot lol Here is the link! :D  http://blogs.wsj.com...ge-inquisition/

Long games bore me tbh. they usually become drawn out and tedious in the middle

Sounds like you're saying that as if it's a fact.

What you just said is an opinion. Not everyone thinks like you do :)

Just saying.

I know, very much excited about that information.

I love longer games, the ability to really feel like I'm developing something adds a great to deal to the gameplay experience.

Quality content is always paramount, of course, but everything I've seen thus far suggests to me that poor quality won't be an issue I'll have to contend with in DA:I.

Actually that entire article in general makes me more excited for DA: I, not just the 100+ hours thing.

The only time I'll ever see the light of day is when I go to work and school.

It will depend on how good BioWare is at maintaining some player urgency without making it impossible to explore everything.  I found with the open sand box games like skyrim and morrowind I'd play them for hours and hours, enjoying all the exploring and sidequest and then stop at hour 125 or whatever and have no clue at all what the main quest line was.

If pre-DLC gives me 100+ hours I'll be one happy customer. Most of my DAO playthroughs were about 40-60 ours on average, not including awakening. So if that's the case, then between the long and multiple playthroughs, I should be busy until the first batch of DLC is announced.

Do you mean sixty hours for you, or sixty hours period?

I find these numbers never mean very much out of personal context.  I have to compare my playtime of past games with the developer's estimate for those games, then extrapolate from there.  From the sound of this looks like DA:I for me will be an 70-80 hour proposition the first time round.

I am sure someone else will get 120 hours out of it.
