She doesn't know my Shepard's story. Do you want her telling your story?

And what does that have to do with not wanting T'soni to tell my story?

This is regarding your disposition after you were killed in the first part of ME2.

Well, you said you've said your Shepard didn't even want her on the ship in ME1 and that you wanted to dump her into that volcano. You probably would have taken the first opportunity to throw her off the ship after the Battle of the Citadel. If there were any consequences to how our characters treated other characters, your Shepard's story would have ended at Alchera. The Shadow Broker would have sold the body to the Collectors and made a profit. End of story for your Shepard. Ashley was on an outreach mission to the colonies for the Alliance setting up defense towers. Roll up brand new character or play Conrad Verner as the savior of the galaxy.

But anyway, it doesn't matter who writes the biography. It doesn't have to be cleared with the person. It's a historical record, and she's the only character that we see in the game who is qualified to write it whether we like it or not.

Honestly, I find this entire discussion very amusing.

Conrad Verner could write up the bio for Shepard.

"She was a big jerk. I learned to shove a gun in people's faces thanks to her."

Personally, I rather not be remembered in the history of the Galactic War.

Don't make me pull out this one....

It's very tasteful, just a poster and a few candles.

Shepard should have known that allowing Conrad to take that photo in ME1 would lead to something...darker.

Would you believe me if I said it was a picture of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's head superimposed onto a bird's body?

Nah, that would be too ridiculous.

It's not as creepy as the uncanny valley Yoda photo that goes there.

The definitive book on Shepard will probably be written as a collaboration between Allers and Al-Jilani, anyway.

Nah, both are dead in my game. My Shepard told Allers to scoot after Thessia, and al-Jilani died on the Citadel. That's how I see it.

Because there's movie out there that have alternate endings specifically for the United States (and Hollywood = US movietown). Apparantly the US crowd can't handle an 'unhappy' ending, examplified rather well by Mass Effect 3... (no I'm not implying there was no disappointment over the ending in other parts of the world)

The movie 1408 is a good example of this. The original ending was cut from the US version because it was 'too much of a downer', and replaced by an ending in which the protagnist survives.

As a Swede my problem with the ending has nothing to do with Shepard dying or not, but I do think the endgame could have been better and more inspired. It's not horrible in it's current state, but I think Mass Effect and Bioware could have done something better with what they had.

I wonder what the Geth temples of Shepard and Legion will look like....

Geth visit the temple, "This is so cool!"

Option 1: Buy an N7 logo at the giftshop and a couple of audiofiles.
Option 2: Enlist for the Alliance N7 program and follow Shepards footsteps, earning the mark of honor worn by Shepard and Legion.
Option 3: All of the above!

Choice made; Option 4, all of the above and atempt to secure a holy relic from the temple for safekeeping! (Starts scoping out the security systems)

Applying some MediGel on this thread as I could use some help from all the Liara lovers here  .

I don't get to romance her in ME3. Romanced her in Me1, remained loyal in Me2 and played LotSB. Had a warm-hearted welcome on Mars and later agreed to rekindle the relationship and then...well, nothing: Plain dialogue in the Praesidium Commons, didn't get no option to 'be more than friends' at her time capsule reveal....

Hell, I'm even replaying ME3 because of her. This playthrough I nearly stalked her on the normandy and now I'm still only getting "you're a good friend".

What did I do wrong?

@topic

It wouldn't suprise me if she also added a line of 'And make sure the Yaag don't get bigger than they already are' in the end of the message ^^ Dunno if it was already said, but hopefully the next cycle has no government that would've casually dissmissed Liara's claims.

P.S.: I didn't really replay all ME3 just for her (well, mainly), but also because I feel betrayed by the game

I have never romanced her. If you did in me1 and than did LotSB did you invite back to ship? I'm sure you did but that's all I can think of. Unless you unknowingly romanced someone else?

All I can think of is that, somewhere in the beginning of ME3 where she asks if they are friends or more his/her Shepard answered with friends.

Some of her dialogue is buggy (the leviathan patch fixed some of her lines). But the "be more than friends" line was unfortunately intended. According to her writer she went for the most obvious paraphrase possible to avoid any confusion over whether this was the moment you became a together-forever item.

The things is I shouldn't have to tell the guy or girl that I have been with for the past six years to confirm to them were more than friends. Kaiden has that line even with a loyal Shepard I felt like it was a punch in gut that he doesn't think we're together still after five years........"

Of those 5 years you spend very little time actually being together. A lot of stuff happens in between. (you die, for instance) It's not that weird he's looking for confirmation.

Not really, just saying if you stayed loyal he did not need to ask me that in the first place.

Really? I mean.. really?

You're dead for 2 years, spend a few months (a year? not really sure of the timeline here) in prison and in between that, you join Alliance enemy #1 Cerberus.

Honestly, him being loyal has nothing to do with it. He's just unsure as f* about where you stand, and that's not stange at all, given the circumstances.
