Juggy by far. Huge shields, DR, two ways to refill shields and a way to block incoming fire.

OK, I would vote for Asari Valkyrie with electric flamethrower. With Tech armor, shield restoration from Annihilation field and consistent BE she is really hard to kill. And has insane damage output. Some other competitors also have good shields and shield restoration, but lack damage output.

Turian Cabal.

Somewhat high shielding along with DR, self shield boost with i-frames, minor speed buff, and the ability to GTFO by dodging straight through a wall.

Batarian/Krogan Vanguards and Juggernaut have been mentioned and would be among my choices.

My favorite for situations like certain Wave 10 hack circles is the Warlord. I do not enjoy having to stand in a narrow place for two minutes, but with this character I actually find it fun to smash all the stuff rushing you and just hear his maniacal laughter coupled with that reduced vision from rage and shieldgate.

When I don't want to die at all I play kroguard (barrier) or batguard (blade armor) with cyclonic IV. But I think the most durable kit is the Juggy with the hex shield and the healing turret, and taking them souls when surrounded.

If I wanna go maximum EZ mode like in a situation when I wanna just relax , without dealing with the game's BS, I always pick my  AIU + HarrierX + Grenade Capacity5 + AP4 + AR amp3 + Adrenaline 3. It's quite scrub-proof.

Batarian Vanguard

He can get 140% DR without any outside help and become completely immune to damage other than sync kills.

exactly what I came to post.

Or the TSab, nothing beats kiting and casting turret, and take no damage for waves at a time(be it very slow waves mind you)

Yes. It's such a hard gun to use with all the limited range and narrow spread of the beam  :(

I terms of tankiness the BatGuard never ceases to surprise me. In general gameplay it's infiltrators and (because of their cloak) Volus.

Another aspect that greatly increased durability is what people call "CC" - any power capable of stagger, knockdown or stasis-like effects shine here. And because of that and their shields+DR many Krogan and the Juggy are great classes for durability, too.

"Squishy" classes can take a tool gun that staggers and take profit from dodges, so if you want to play a Human Engineer without fitness on Plat (it doesn't really matter, beside from the slightly faster pacing) they can be durable in a sense, too. And a Drell that uses his movement speed has more problems getting stuck to cover than being shot in experienced hands.

tl;dr It all comes down to gameplay style

Nah, you use Adrenaline 3 for a reason right?

Bat sent has got to be up there. Very tanky, more mobile than the Juggy and has the ability to stagger most units with shockwave

Someone who understands that it takes skill because you have to get close to the enemy without dying. Flamer also is included in this theory. Your my new best friend.

Honestly - I'd just want to get the hell out of those kind of situations described in the OP... Vanguard with Armoured Compartment maybe, because BC > F**K YOU!

Exactly! You have to be a high-end player to use the Flamer properly.

The Jugg's my go-to kit if I'm low on ops packs/gels (and I have an adrenaline III to use).  I've played the TGI & AIU much less so I don't have a good rhythm with them.  Also take out my Male Quarian Engineer if I've had bad runs and just want to rage all over the map.

Basically this ^

I prefer the Typhoon normally but that ramp-up time could spell curtains!

Just sayin', no offense.

On topic: the Harrier and Reegar are both stupidly OP weapons, but the Reegar can have way more ammo(thanks to SG spear ammo mod), so you don't have to run to ammo crates every other minute, which makes the "EZ mode" even easier.

The Harrier is more suitable for TGI, I think everyone already knows it.

I only use the above 2 guns on Platinum.
