Hi all,
I have searched and couldn't find anything about this.
I have the game arriving tomorrow in the post and I am thinking of buying Warden's Keep Straight away. I just don't know when I will get to play this in the game. Will it be obvious when I do it? As I understand, this game is linear and non-open world, meaning ideally there should be a set point at which to do both DLC's.
Anyone shed any light?
When to play Warden's Keep?

Play it as soon as it's available, in my opinion. You should know when it's time. If you want a more specific answer, feel free to send me a PM, but I don't want to spoil too much content for the entire forum.

Ah ok, thanks for the quick and to the point answer! No spoilers necessary, that's all I needed
I guess I am just trying to fill my time until the fabled game arrives!

Someone should appear at your camp sight and trigger it when you talk to him.

I like to do The Stone Prisoner quest first. You pick up some very good items which I feel help in the Warden's Keep final battle which can be challenging.

Look for Levi Dryden at the party camp. He should be standing in between the exit and Bodhan/Sandal. If not, you may not have installed or downloaded it correctly.

Levi appears the first time you are officially sent to your party camp, right after leaving Lothering. He should be hard to miss - he has the big bright quest icon above his head. After talking to him, he'll mark out the location of WK on your map - to the far North.
I like to go there quite early on. I think the battles scale, so it's not too tough to handle early in.

The order i like to play the game in is:
Origin
Ostagar
Lothering
Wardens keep
Sulchers pass
Return to ostagar
Denerim (part)
Orzammar (part)
Broken circle
Paragon of her kind
Arl of redcliffe
Urn of sacred ashes
Nature of the beast
Landsmeet
Final onslaught
This is the best order imo, it makes the game more streamlined and reduces the amount of backtracking through the game.

I more-or-less follow the map path at the start.:
-In Lothering you usually hear the rumor (fromthe two gossips) than all the mages have turned into demons. As I usually play mages, investigating what happens the Circle is my first step.
-In camp, the fisrt night after Lothering, you will hear about Soldier's Peak. Interesting, but at the moment you certainly have more pressing matters, like the headhunters and, oh, the Archdemon
You can check after the blight if you survive.
-The Circle. Possible the greatest concentration of powerful mages and heavy armored warriors in the nation. They will be a great hepd agaist the blight. Well, possibly. The fact than two measly demons cheerfuly destroyed the lot of then unopposed until you arrived might suggest nasty things about their future competence against Dark.spawn, but let's not be rude, we are not in any position to be choosy.
-After the circle, as you are a wanted brigand, the next logical stop is Redcliff, to find allies and a base. On the path, you cross Bann Watshisname lands, where you meet a survivor from Ostagar with will tell you about King Calian's secret chest, back in camp (that is the introduction to Return to Ostagar). You continue to follow the lake road, and then you meet a merchant who gift you a golem control rod -and tells you there is a village under Darkspawn attack! WARDENS ASSEMBLE! Ahem.
-So yes, you ride to the rescue of Honnleath like a proper Warden, where you will meet darskpawn ans will rescue the most retarded preteen girl in Thedas. At least you will leave with a nifty helemt and a new Golem. Who the last time it moved brutally killed its owner, but let's not quibble. Our mantra shall be "We are wanted people, we are not in any position to be choosy."
-Finally you reach Redcliff. Zombies, drunks, zombies, bratty lost children, yet more zombies, and Teagan. Who is heroic, polite, cute, and will bloody stay under lock and key while you spend the night covered in zombie guts. Yay. Also, in the morning you will meet Isolde. 'Nuff said. Can we go back to the zombies?
-As if you had no enough problems on your own, you are asked to move to the ends of the earth to save your utterly incompetent "allies" from their troubles. Don't be paranoid, twice is just coincidence. I am sure you will have more luck with your next two allies.
-By now, chances are you already have unlocked Leliana's sidequest. Yet another group of paid assasins after you is one irritation too many. Travel to Denerim to solve those minor problems and talk to Brother Genviti about those ashes.
-From Denerim you travel to the north Road to the Circle. This is a perfect moment to stop on the way and check Soldier's Peak.

Stone Prisoner and Warden's Keep DLC are the first two things I do right after leaving Lothering.

Alistair is pretty adamant about the Arl's importance, so once I pass Lothering I go straight to Redcliff.
Then, seen as I normally pick asking the circle for help with Connor, I go to the circle straight away. I feel wrong spending lengthy amounts of time on other quests and leaving the situation in the castle for so long.
Then once I return to Redcliff I straight away do the Urn because, again, I'd feel uncomfortable leaving the Arl so close to death and want to cure him asap.
Then I feel it's time to pay Denerim a proper visit, also treating it as a sort of rest from the battle and 2 lengthy missions I just did.
After that, I do the two minor missions (Warden's Keep and Sulchers Pass) as I'm not 'pressed for time' on anything else.
Then I do the two remaning treaties in any order (perhaps the closest one depending on the last quest I did).
THEN I do Return to Ostagar. I like to leave this just till the end, as it reminds me of the beginning after the time passed all the and it riles me up for the final battle. Doing this early on in the game is a waste I think.
I don't think following the map is too important, because you're bound to be lepaing from one side of the map to the other and back eventually. I don't think it's possible to have a completely fluid path, what with all the side quests and all.
