I've been scouring the internet for a way (and when I found one, how to actually practically do it) to add squadmates in ME3 early, before you can recruit them.

The reason I want to do this, is because I want to have Tali as a squadmate on the Priority: Citadel II mission, but canon-wise I can only recruit her after that mission and Priority: Perseus Veil are completed.

I've tried checking the boxes for her recruitment, but I can only see her shadow and can't select it.

I've found this: http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=zv8mxcxs

But I've got no idea how to put this:

SFXPawn_Tali,Tag=hench_tali, PrettyName=178203,	HenchAcquiredPlotID=17838,HenchInSquadPlotID=17836

In Gibbed somewhere and the two ID's for acquired and in squad have checkboxes anyway and when they're set to true, nothing happens.

I have managed to change Ashley into Kaidan succesfully by unchecking and checking all the necessary boxes for who's the Virmire Survivor and all and then changing Ashley's henchman 'tag' or whatever it's called into Kaidan's (though I didn't check what happened to her/his powers or loadouts). But if I had to add Tali (not change someone into her), I'd have to set all her powers and stuff and I don't even know if that would work:s

If adding her early turns out to be impossible, another way would be to recruit her, and then use Gibbed to replay Priority: Citadel II.

I've tried to 'reactivate' completed missions before, but I couldn't play them because they weren't selectable on the planet or ship they were on. Haven't figured out how to reactivate that 'check' on the galaxy map and planet/ship + it would be even messier to do that for this mission, since it is activated by docking to the Citadel...

Hope some of you might be able to help me out;)

First of all, I don't see why you'd want Tali specifically for that mission.

What you could do is modify a save game with the mission in progress, and check the "in squad" box for her. I haven't tried it myself, so I can't tell you if it'll actually work.

Well, having her early on is even better, doesn't have to be just that mission. It's just the mission I need, with her in it along with my customShep and James, for my series for a future episode.

'I've tried checking the boxes for her recruitment, but I can only see her shadow and can't select it.'

Though, yes could check 'in squad' and see what happens. Was wondering if those boxes actually did anything, seeing as even my last saves in the campaign didn't have them checked... suddenly it all makes sense xD

It's just that if this is to be believed: 'Henchmen note: Setting these early will break some early plot sequences since they are scripted. SFXPawn_Tali,Tag=hench_tali, PrettyName=178203, HenchAcquiredPlotID=17838,HenchInSquadPlotID=17836', it can break sequences, but it can be done, if I just figure out where to put those codes... or find another way...

EDIT! To quote RedVsBlue: 'Wow, I can't believe that worked!' it's that simple:p well, with thanks to Gibbed and you, Thomas Andresen.

Oh man, the possibilities:D
