It certainly shouldn't be something that pops up in every conversation. It should be mentioned once where it is relevant, and then there can be some dialogue options where the Inquisitor can ask Lellana about the Warden. After that, he or she wouldn't really be mentioned much again.
I assume they could be suitably vague by her responding she is already in a relationship(without mentioning names) to any turn down flirt option.
Honestly I can do without the Warden being brought back as a cameo or in any fashion to be honest with you but DG has said that it will most likely happen and the thing that concerns me moost is the fact that my warden will most likely do something completely OOC like this maybe during a loyalty Mission with Leliana you run into the Warden and then my Dalish Archer Torwen breaks up with Leliana just for ***** and giggles.
Personally what I want is Leliana maybe making passing comments about her Warden and maybe a few banters but thats all I want nothing else thanks because anything else and you start ruining peoples Game Save/World State Continuety"Propably misspelled sorry" the same for Hawke a few mentions from Varric and if I run into Isabella than she can talk about my Hawke considering they are together.
And thats all anymore and the Inquisitor starts taking a back seat storywise imo we all love our Wardens and Hawkes but Its the Inqiusitors time to save the world now.
Considering Leliana was surprised to be in the same part of Thedas as the Warden in DA2, I think the relationship was pretty definitely over.
I am going to make this very clear. If my Warden somehow broke up with Leliana, I am going to replay Dragon Age: Origins, but with a mod. With this mod, everyone the Warden approaches will slap him before they start talking, and 1 Dignity level will go down. Leliana, Morrigan, Alistair, the dog. It doesn't matter. They will all slap him.
To be serious, I doubt the relationships would end. It's not going to be a big part of the overall story (it may just be some dialogue that metions it), but unless it was a good reason, I don't think Bioware is going to end the relationships you formed in both games.

Well in first play if they will put warden into game well it will be hardly your warden and bio warden they even said it (so you will slap your poor warden not bio warden).I hope they will just leave them alone and leave thing up to imagination.
I think B-Ware will do the previous romances justice maybe Zevs as well if he shows up in DAI but in truth I also find the disappearing thing will add more complications but oh well thats just my opinion anyway.
I hope the Warden/Hawkes Relationships are handled well I don't mind Leliana being an LI in DAI as long as she won't be on Warden romanced World States but non romanced ones sure why not.

As already mentioned I am more curious how my Mage Warden disappeared he went with Morrigan to be with her and their son is the disappearance his or are we talking about the Warden Commander from Orlais "Awakening" this is a issue because we know Morrigan returned to Thedas but did The Warden return with her only to be Warden-Napped as soon as he exited the Eluvian or what.
