You tell me that after two years and a short time intrest will make you bad..... Then Batman is a dam monster in comparison that should have been killed years ago.....
Don't forget James Bond.

I am against cheating but this I would not feel is unless the was a longer more meaningful connection than what time you had with them in the first game. If you stay with them and cheat in ME 3 though then you are cheating for you kept them close to you. Cheaters should be hanged but any Shepard in ME 1 has a pass I say.

Still best to blame your death for memory loss, then say your too far into the new relationship to go back...I hope thats an option.

Ok keep in mind that to the characters (Liara, Ash, Kaidan) the romance starts after the 2nd or 3rd conversation. Also if I recall the whole game is supposed to take place over the course of a year (if anyone can confirm otherwise please do), a considerable length of time, in relative close quarters. The romance is only consumated the one time but the build up counts. So these people develope strong feelings towards Shepard, he/she dies, comes back, and ditches them. They're obviously going to feel betrayed and hurt and that's probably the reprecussion, dialogue and losing them as a potential ally in ME3.
Edit: Now on Batman. I'm a big fan of Batman, one of my favourite heroes, but I've said this numerous times Batman is only a hero when compared to those he fights. When holding someone up to the likes of Joker, Riddler, Penguin, Two Face, etc. almost anyone's going to look good. Batman is a monster, but he's less of a monster than the people he's beating the crap out of so it's ok.

If that is all it would do then my account with Ash will not care one bit if she is out in ME3. Liara I will not cheat with but Ash can go by by.

Don't worry guys, I'm sure BW was "thoughtful" enough to allow ways for you to totally and completely forget about the previous LI's as was intended.

Well keep in mind Ash might shoot you. She took down Wrex and depending on how many playthroughs you've done she could be twice your level...you're screwed.

Your reason would count as a logical repercussion of "cheating" and should be the case. Having said that, I still think that there should be an option (dialogue choice whatever) at the first of ME2 to determine whether the LI played out or not (I would rather not have to go play ME1 2 to 3 times through to get a level 60 Shepard just to get whatever perks I get for having done that in ME2 only for the reason of having sex with a woman once). Romancing one character and not having it work out over the long haul should not be the same as romancing two characters at the same time and cheating on one of them.

Just a thought but if you romance both Liara and Ashley in ME 1 and get confronted by the pair of them in the comm room and express your desire for both, Liara comments on Ashley being jealous but never says she is. And when you suggest the three of you get together Ashley comments "I hope the two... or however many of you are happy together," Liara isn't phased and continues the relationship so if she accepts it at that point she shouldn't have an issue with polyamory. That being said she does deny that she fits the Asari reputation of multiple relationships but that could be more her reflecting on what has happened rather then her view on relationships.

I dont know it may depend on which LI were talking about. Liara and Kaidan might be a little more hurt than Ash would be. Ash says she doesnt need a man to amke her happy, but Liara seemed kinda dependent, and Kaidan was talking about a "could've been" from years before like it was still fresh in his mind. Also, Casey's words are very vague, and I think some of Chris Preistly's sneakiness is rubbng off on him. It may be refering to a rocky start with Liara and Kaidan, but I think Ash will have moved on and will have nothing more than a shock and then a slightly awkward moment.DPSSOC wrote...

But it definatly NOT cheating. Two years have passed and none of the relationships were very official, there were feelings invovled that will come into play, but no cheating here.
