Participating in a ball in this game would be a pretty dope break from the action. It would remind me a lot of the FF 8 ball room scene. A lil romance potential would be great for that portion.

There will be huge, massive, sweaty balls in DA:I
....
....
What?
My first thought when I saw this thread's title.

It'd be cool that if you have to dance with a follower, the type of dance changes depending on their overall personality.

Somehow, I cannot see the game designers missing a chance to make a reference by not having someone do the Shepard Shuffle.
*NPC 1 doing the Shepard shuffle*
NPC 2: "What are you doing?"
NPC 1: "What does it look like? I'm dancing."
NPC 3: "You call that dancing?"
NPC 1: "Yeah."
NPC 4: That's the worst dancing I've ever seen."
*NPCs 2-4 laugh at NPC 1*
NPC1: *grumbles* "You just watch. This dance will become the new thing one day."

Oh yussh! Though only one of my Inquisitors like dancing. Others are... Awkward at best
Mental Image: Dalish Inquisitor doing an odd, solemn, flapping, traditional ritualistic Elvhen dance, with seriousbusiness!face on. At the ball.
Cassandra in background, facepalming.
Vivienne, pretending she doesn't know you.
Solas, joining in.
Iron Bull, bent over in laughter.
Sera, glad she's not Dalish.

Hold up, Yukii, that's not really fair. We want a chance for Machiavellian scheming and politicking as well as pretty dresses and romance sidequests. The day Barbie releases a game about being a political leader in the middle of a civil war is the day I start to like Barbie.

I just hope that the female Inquisitor moves like an actual woman instead of a man in drag, when she gets to dance. The fact that Bioware do not use specific male and female motion caption is pretty blatant in all their games.

Considering formal dances are pretty gender-role-specific, they'd have to. Which makes me doubt suddenly that we'll be able to. :/

90% of the times, yes. Males and female walk and move differently due to the difference of their center of gravity. When I was playing Mass Effect 2, I kept feeling wrong when every time FemShep moved, something seem off for some reason. She just seem to move in an unnatural way. It wasn't until I was watching the male characters that I realized she was walking just like them, which is very unnatural.

*regretful snip*
*had previously not been much of a fan of DHMG* ...damn it.
On topic - YESH. I would love to get in on the Grand Game, and for there to be some sort of romance aspect.
Also, dresses. Frilly ones, with feathers and cupcakes and live animals. For both female and male Inquisitors.

One of the interviews said there is a big diplomatic/behind the scenes political event in the game that depending on how you play it can be very bloody or not so bloody. I am guessing the orlesian ball is said event but I could be mistaken.
Very bloody?
Please let me kill people horribly like in Game of thrones.

Red Wedding in Dragon Age style. I'd dig it.

Considering the Purple Wedding, we should really have a choice of murder weddings.
say....3?

Red Wedding, Blue Wedding and Green Wedding? And whichever one you pick will negate every choice made before that and give a specific ending? I wouldn't dig that, ladyoflate, I wouldn't dig that at all.
