I actually don't mind the Revenant.

 

In need of a buff and calling it superior to the Harrier is just laughable, but I'd probably still take it over any other non UR Assault Rifle other than the Mattock and maybe the Argus.

 

And that leaves... What? The avenger? Yeah it's better than the avenger XD

 

Edit: had to go check my N7HQ to remember which are the other non UR AR...

 

 

I think only Tommy Ng could compete with that .. but I believe that thread was deleted long ago sadly

I would tend to agree with that, but that speaks more to the overall pathetic pool of ARs to choose from in this game, rater than the Revenant being good.

 

I do admit, I like the look, sound and feel of the Revenant, but it's just so pitiful results wise (esp compared to the ME2 version, which was pretty effective)

I wouldn't necessarily take the Revi over Avenger, Phaeston, or GPR depending on the character.

I would still call it a pretty good weapon. I mean, the damage isn't bad if you can get around the accuracy which personally I don't find that difficult between getting up close or utilizing hard cover.

 

Although as far as non UR Assault Rifles go, I would still say that the majority of them aren't terrible weapons.

 

Then again, the BSN does have a habit of calling something garbage if it isn't absolutely amazing so it doesn't surprise me that a lot of people say the Revenant is garbage.

 

Unless it's too amazing, then it's a crutch.

The spread is just unfathomably large; it's like a fully automatic Raider w/ more screenshake and less kick upward. Slight exaggeration, but used for emphasis.

 

Having said that, I don't hate the gun, I just think it's in the bottom 1/3 of guns I would choose to use normally. Except the TSol, I guess it's in the middle 1/3, but it's still outclassed by a lot.

To each their own, I think the CAR can be lumped in with all the other mediocre AR's. For a rare it isn't much better than the Phaeston, and I might rather take GPR if I am only using it against mooks.

As some of you suggested, I took the Raider HSol out for a spin last night...still think I prefer Claymoar HSol.

 

Will test some more.

I haven't played the TSol in a while, since I've been working on complete wave challenges w/ other kits, so perhaps it's time to take ol' Garrus out for some rounds.
