I highly doubt there will be any race restrictions when it comes to romances. That's just ridiculous.  Especially since you have no evidence to support that claim outside your assumption.

Like I said. I could be wrong. This is BioWare and they are going to decide what its best for the game.

Simply put: because people like what they like, and your personal incredulity on the matter doesn't make their tastes any less valid than your own.

Well gee, how boring would life be if we were unable to poke fun at each other for silly things like Qunari attraction...

We should relax, eh?

Didn't Sten say its not possible because Qunari are rough and it would break human/elf/dwarf bones?

I definitely remember him hinting at the fact that it would be a little too rough for something as delicate as a human. Didn't he tell Morrigan that she would have to wear armor in order to have sex with him?

I believe he was being facetious. Morrigan was continually pestering him, so he decided to scare her away. Worked pretty well too.

I was about to say that, actually. Might have been an exaggeration but I rather like the idea that they're un-romanceable due to physical capabilities. It just makes them that much more interesting of a race and culture when breeding is a rare and loveless thing and they're much too powerful to attempt it with weaker races. Also, its funny to me.

I think there may have been some truth to it. I mean, Origins Sten wasn't all that big and scary looking. But the new design for the Qunari lead me to believe that sex with one of those dudes/chicks would be very unpleasant.

It was always blatantly obvious to me that he was trolling her to get her to leave him alone; I've seen devs back up that interpretation.

That would be an interesting restriction if there was a female qunari :/

Oh he was definitely trolling her. But realistically a Qunari would probably break a few human bones during sex, at least. They are ridiculously strong. It would be like having sex with a Poodle, I think. (The dog being the Human, obviously)

Then again, what do I know? I never let a Qunari shag me before.

There are plenty of examples of men close to seven feet tall being in sexual relationships with women closer to five feet tall and as far as I am aware it doesn't result in broken bones very often.

You're comparing the qunari physiology to humans though. These guys average 7ft tall have horns and claws, im inclined to assume that their skin is tougher and that their bones are more dense

They're doing it wrong?

No, but really... Comparing a seven foot tall man to a Qunari is a little off.

Still, as long as a person is careful, having sexual relationships with the Qunari won't be that bad though lol

I don't remember Sten's strength score as being higher than my human warrior's by any significant margin.

Lorewise, not gameplay bro. ;)

The Qunari were also VERY different in Origins, though.

Oh yea there's no debating that lol, im afraid going any further into this will be too graphic

At first it is pretty high plus that can be deduced to gameplay mechanics, bringing it to reality a 7ft beast that easily weighs 300+ lbs is going to be significantly stronger

You don't think that professional football players, professional wrestlers, professional strong men, who match or approach those dimensions while having sexual relationships with average sized women couldn't snap them in half just as easily if they wanted?

The scores were never any sort of good representation of... just about anything really. The gameplay shouldn't really be trusted when it comes to lore or logic, really.

The only time in the series we have seen a qunari performing an act of strength that would be considered super human was in the Sacred Ashes trailer when Sten pushed all those darkspawn off a cliff.

In DA 2 we never see them do anything exceptional in terms of strength, except Arishok lifting Hawke up on his sword, and given their size difference and the more over the top stylings of DA2, that's really not that much.

Again you're comparing two different species, one of them is born with horns+claws and AVERAGES 7ft, we dont know the muscle density or bone density of qunari but with genetics like that its easy to assume their muscle and bone density are much stronger than a human. Those athletes work exclusively to gain that stature, Qunari naturally grow into that frame with no modern day tools to help. There is no doubt the average qunari are stronger than even our top athletes. Arishok regularly wields two weapons that are meant to be carried with both hands, most people wouldnt be able to do that let alone use them effectively, with beasts like the iron bull, there's just no comparing in my opinion.

Seriously? Nothing leads to the belief that Qunari are strong enough to break someone in half by accident. On purpose on the other hand...They could manage to have sex with someone without breaking bones. They're not hulks.

Plus if Joker's brittle bone self can hook up with tin can EDI a QunarixHuman relationship is vastly safer for both participants.

So...having dense bones and superior strength renders one incapable of controlling their nervous system? I find this amusing. A strong body is also capable of excellent control.

Even if it somehow were an issue (a weird one)...what is the Qunari doing when on his/her back while being straddled by any race of your choice, because I'm pretty sure unless he/she decides to punch their partner in the face it shouldn't be a problem?
