Somebody's bitter...
Am I? I'm just pointing out that if they kept the old system, the dilemmas like the one I quoted would not occur. I wouldn't consider that bitterness.

With the added gender restrictions, it seems like additional race restrictions would make things more organic. If they're going to restrict in one way, it makes more sense to me to approach from multiple angles.
Romances are a major part of bioware games, i see them taking the time to add an animation, it wouldnt be a "waste" with so many fans looking forward to qunari-dwarf romances
Strange that the lead writer doesn't consider that true. David Gaider (and other devs) have repeatedly made mention of considering romances a minor part of Bioware games and story.

Wouldn't it make very difficult to give players equal opportunities then if there is even more restrictions than sexuality. I would understand if there was couple characters for racial restrictions like Iron Bull or Varric but I doubt there will be many since it'd make hard to get every race and gender enough choices to romance from.

While theoretically this makes sense, from a practical standpoint, I don't think it does. If the romance feature has roughly the same number of LI's (anywhere from 4-8), I just can't see how they can restrict based on both gender and class and still fulfill the promise that everyone will get choice in their LI. If they had many more LI's, then I could see them trying to implement race restrictions as well. But I just don't see how they can do it well and restrict on gender and give everyone more than one LI to choose from.
With the NPC additions, they can't assure everyone will get an equal choice of LIs, as is, in all likeliness. I don't see it as a comparative problem. They've never said anything about everyone getting a choice of LIs in relation to race, anyway. They only said it about sexuality and, even then, it was just something they said they'd like to do, not a "promise".

Then you're hearing something different than me, plus reality is, fans dont consider it a minor feature of the game.
psh id feel bad for elves elves, if you catch my drift

I don't know. Some of us fans consider it minor too. But I think I'm the minority. It's odd just how many romance threads pop up. It's interesting to a point, but damn.
I find Qunari women to be quite physically...intimidating.
Too bad we only have a male qunari companion, hopefully there will be a secret female one but wont hold my breath. I would have choosen her instead, so far no good romance (appearance-wise) sadly for my character (male) I dont like cassandra super short hair, sera also has short hair and just doesnt look my type (so far) Vivienne seems like she is pro-mage no matter what and also seems like she is too prideful but wont judge too much until I play the game and..wait, I think thats all female romance sadly.
