1. I need to work on my situational awareness. There are too many times where I find myself trapped in what could've been avoidable scenarios if only I was paying more attention to my surroundings.
2. I'd say vanguards only because it's the class I spend the least amount of time with.
3. I'm not great with the Fury. I've seen her completely destroy everything in the hands of a skilled Fury player. I really need to show that biotic goddess some love/attention ![]()
Dunvi = Ragevi
1. What's your biggest flaw skill-wise?
Abusing enemy patterns when it's required. For example, on a kit that can charge or get invincibility frames, I tend to just jump around and punt things all over the place, mostly to detonate stuff I primed with fire. In my haste to do so, I usually don't slow down for enemies like the atlas where you need to time charges for its rockets or know when to get into cover so as to avoid the stupidly accurate cannon shots they have. I've died to many atlas because of my apparent need to keep causing fire/biotic explosions. :| Other than that I usually do fine...usually.
2. Which class are you the least effective with?
The hybrid classes are usually my go-to kits(Sentinel, Infiltrator, Vanguard). I guess I'm pretty good with the pures as well, though not so much with the Engineers. Kits in the Engineer class specifically that I feel I'm better off playing as another kit?
Human Alliance Engineer, incinerate just feels too weak for me. I know this kit can dunk, and I used to do so back in the beginning of MP, but now it's just meh to me.
Quarian Female Engineer, I can do better with anyone else who has a freezing power. I know she's good if in the right hands. Those hands are not mine.
Salarian Engineer, see human engineer.
N7 Demolisher, never got it to work for me. Prefer Soldiers or Infiltrators if I'm gonna be using a heavy weapon. If grenades, prefer drellguard n' inferno 'nade users.
Turian Saboteur, don't like turret, sabotage or homing grenade. Never could get this kit to work for me.
Vorcha Hunter, don't like sub net, see human engineer for the incinerate bit and if I'm gonna play a vorcha, it'll probably be soldier or sentinel.
I'm pretty good with the rest of the engineers though...well I'd like to think I am.
3. What character/race are you not that great with?
Any volus that isn't the Engineer, the Quarian Marksman(prefer Turian), the Engineers I listed above sans the human alliance one but eh. Human male Sentinel feels meh as well compared to, say, Krogan Shaman or any other adept, really. Batarian Sentinel also feels meh compared to the other batarians for me.
As for infiltrators, I'm pretty good with all of them except the N7 Shadow. If I'm gonna melee, I prefer to be a krogan usually.
BUT, the one kit I suck at and can't stand, is the Turian Cabal Vanguard. I never know what weapon to use, what power setup to go with, etc. I'm much better as a novaguard, drellguard, kroguard or Slayer.
TL;DR: I suck at the turian vanguard and don't like her. Also don't like Atlas.
1. My biggest flaw is spawn control. I tend to just forget completely about it when I'm playing. Which is understandable because I PUG almost exclusively and there's almost no point in even trying to control spawns with PUGs.
2. My least effective class is probably the Vanguard. The reason is that I very rarely host, and I don't really like Vanguarding when I'm not hosting.... thus I rarely play the class and don't have that much experience with it. Cabal is the only Vanguard I play much at all.
3. The one race I just don't "get" is Volus. I know there are a lot of lovers out there, but I can't get used to the camera angle for the life of me. I also hate that you can't jump over cover. The only fun thing about playing Voluses is dying at the top of a ramp, and that's hardly constructive for my teammates. EDIT: I also kind of suck with the Juggy, but I have gotten to the point where I don't think I qualify as a liability any longer.
1: Biggest flaw - fits of pique (I never go so far as to rage, I am English you know)... I have been known to rocket Cerberus Turrets ... or every single Geth I can see until I run out of rockets ... or gelling so fast that the team-mate stood 2 inches from me doesn't have time to revive me.
2: Least effective with ... hmmm, Vanguards probably since I rarely host.
3: I can make any kit work on U/U/G and I don't generally do platinum ... there are a few kits that I excel with though, Krentinel first and foremost, so you could say I'm not that great with anything else ![]()
...
TL;DR: I suck at the turian vanguard and don't like her. Also don't like Atlas.
The answer to all your Cabal problems is the Venom ... and I'm not trying to make a BSN Venom-on-everything type remark, honestly. I had a hard time making the kit feel right for me, then I melee specced her and threw on a Venom+Omni-Blade and things just came together - she's now probably my favourite Vanguard ![]()
1) I can't missile worth sh!t
2) Any Vorcha
3) Salarian Engie. I can do alright with him (thanks to Venom or Scorpion), but definitely one of my weaker characters.
1. Biggest Flaw: Probably situational awareness. If there are other players around, I tend to not watch my back like I should. Though if I'm clutching, I pay far more attention, and I actually tend to die (or even need ops packs) less by myself than I will if the rest of the team is alive. Second would be that I tend to play too reckless, and thus end up dying due to my own stupidity.
2. Least effective class: Probably Vanguards. Because I rarely get people to join on my host, so I'm stuck off-hosting with vanguards and spend more time mashing 1 to no effect than actually fighting. The only exception would be the Cabal, who I am pretty good with.
3. Worst characters: Any Volus, the Talon Merc, Huntress, Warlord, Geth Infiltrator (I know, I know, he's great. But I still suck with him.)
Asking me to list my flaws is simply trolling.
Ain't nobody got time fo' dat!
Listing my strong points(*) would be just as boring, but far quicker.
(*) If I ever think of any I will definitely let you know. So far, I got nothin'.
Shady will probably be able to disagree, seeing as he's the one that plays with me most often, along with EnceladusN7, who mostly lurks here. But well, here's what I've seen.
1. What's your biggest flaw skill-wise?
Risk calculation. I tend to fall back rather easily even though I could stand my ground and occasionally I get trigger happy and well... Killed. Sometimes I rage-gel.
2. Which class are you the least effective with?
Vanguards. Like Garrus would say "That's a little closer than I'd like." Also, I cannot find myself relying on a power such as Biotic Charge to keep me alive, like I don't expect Stimulant Pack, Shield Boost or Repair Matrix to keep me alive. At least those work properly 99% of the time. Yeah yeah, I'm a scrub that can't Biotic Charge. Thank you for your input, it doesn't really help me. End of discussion, let's move on.
3. What character/race are you not that great with?
Krogan Warlord. Vanguards are one thing, but being slow and usually up close to a Banshee isn't my kind of thing. Not even when I am on a ramp. Also, Geth Juggernaut. I like a bit of speed.
We all have our strengths as players. Some are great solo players, some really excel at supporting a team, whilst others are great with specific classes. On the flipside, everyone has at least one small flaw. So, try to be honest with yourself and ask yourself these questions:
1. What's your biggest flaw skill-wise?
2. Which class are you the least effective with?
3. What character/race are you not that great with?
I mostly play Vanguards, so you can guess which my biggest flaw is...damnable one hit-killer moves...
Also, +1 to the previous comment about lag. That's why I usually host (also, FTTH 100/10 user here, so I guess people have decent lag, too).
Interesting questions, I never really thought about this stuff :-)
1. What's your biggest flaw skill-wise?
Too much aggression and overconfidence. I´m not nearly as good a player as I sometimes lead myself to believe. I fully expect to play in the enemy´s face all the time and not die. Like I can totally just sidestep around those two Praetorians to revive my fallen teammate on my way to the next device. Yeah, right. I sometimes go through ops packs like popcorn and have completed rage-gel mastery more than once.
2. Which class are you the least effective with?
Soldiers with automatic weapons. Vanguards ("chaaaaarge, you ******* ****" - "squadmember down")
3. What character/race are you not that great with?
Pretty bad at anything I consider "high maintenance" - f.ex. requiring regularly repeated defense powers/keyboard sequences such as Volus.
Vanguards ("chaaaaarge, you ******* ****" - "squadmember down")
From my experience, that's only suicidal for one hit-killer enemies. Apart from that, NovaGuards are pretty overpowered, even against enemies like Brutes or Phantoms.
Against Normal/Elite troopers, I always get the lead in points in Silver matches. No exceptions.

That´s not what I meant, I probably phrased it poorly. The up-close playstyle I like requires quick shield replenishment with Vanguards, which is not happening if I have to press the ***** button 5 times to have the ***** moron finally execute the charge, especially off-host :-).
I just overall watch the scoreboard too much... Scorewhore syndrom, that leads into never playing to have fun, which is kinda sad.
Serious credit to you Ox! That the most "honest" post in this thread in a way, and something I've struggled with at times myself.
1. Aside from rage gelling and lack of "missile initiave" at key moments, I'd really like to become a faster killer.
2. Soldier (aside from Bat/Tsol)
3. Vorcha

Therein lies another problem. I don't like the Venom.
Not that I'm bad with it. Fiddled with it in some single player missions and it can wreck, sure; but it's also Shepard, therefore stuff dies too fast. The one I have in MP is only rank 1, but some tell me just having the gun is all I need.
I'll give it another shot though, will see what happens.
1, I have trouble synergizing with teammates effectively, and along with that I am not the best at power utilization. I can weapon platform for days (which is why Soldier classes tend to be good for me) but it's the synergy which can sometimes make me an ineffective teammate.
2. I can do decently with at least kit from each of the classes but overall I think my worst class is sentinel. I just can't get the right balance with the amount of power awareness you need to have.
3. Krogan classes aren't my thing, I almost never play them.
1 - Tunnel vision
2 - Vanguards because I play off host almost all the time, and lag issues put me off the class.
3 - Volus
Rage gelling and nuking isn't a flaw people.
1) Using those frickin' op packs and dying anyway. ![]()
2) Soldiers... don't really like playing most of 'em.
3) Javelin GI... playing off-host is a bit of a nightmare.
