Tomorrow I'll go to the Media Markt (in Spain) where I reserved the PC's CE and I'll check if what game.es says about it been released the 4th of February is true or not (I hope not, so I can play the game tomorrow)...

Reports are coming in from gamers in Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Poland, The Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Italy and Spain from the stores they pre-ordered their Mass Effect 2: Collectors Edition’s from, saying they will be delayed for over a week!!

The Mass Effect 2 forums on the BioWare social network are overflowing with these reports and one concerned gamer has managed to put all the information together into one post that you can view here.

And as you can see here, GameStop Spain is not shipping the game until the 4th of February. The same goes for Swedish retailer Webhallen.

There has been no official word from BioWare, as this seems to be a packaging and distribution problem . . . but obviously European gamers are not satisfied.

I believe one European gamer said it best when he said:
    “I don’t care who’s fault it is, if it’s a shipping/printing/localization problem, I don’t want an excuse or to hear you say you’re sorry, I just want answers…”

I'm wondering what language the collector's edition will be in if I buy it in Spain. Is it all dubbed/printed in Spanish or is it all in English? I've asked Devs, the Shop, everyone, but still no reply. Does anyone know the answer?

Hi all!

Writing to you from Portugal, southern Europe. Rumors hit the web today that ME2 for the Xbox 360 (regular edition, not collectors) will only arrive stores here on February 12th. Facing the prospect of waiting another 2 weeks for the follow up to my all time favorite game, I could surrender myself to desperation and personal crisis. And yet, I will be true to my 60lvl paragon status and wait bravely, doing the only thing I can think of: one final, decisive playthrough of the original Mass Effect.

It PROBABLY will came with manual, artbook and comic in spanish. The game will have audio in English (as far as I know, it's no dubbed into Spanish), and I supose that texts can be set in English (or spanish, or other EU languages available).

And I said PROBABLY because PC's Dragon Age: Origins CE had the printed manual in English (And an extra DVD with the manual in a PDF in Spanish).

Okay, it's just that I really want it in English, and I can't order a CE from England. But I need to know today so I can cancel my order of the normal version from Amazon. Does anyone else know?

Exactly. I went to check on my local gamestore (a Free Record Shop in Belgium), they said the game will be released as planned: the CE and normal editions will be in shops tomorrow. So Belgium for once is doing fine. I'm really thrilled by this!

Best of luck for everyone with a delayed copy, you really have my support. it still is unbelievable that no official response has been given.

I don't know... I think it's closer to ridiculous now. Just look at the number of posts in this thread. Yet no answer. And most gaming news sites won't mention this thread because it doesn't have an official post.

You'd think we are some sort of pirates with all this ignoring, but no, we are paying customers and obviously rather enthusiastic about Mass Effect 2 to spend this much of our time on these forums trying to get some honest answers. Frankly, even pirates get more attention, they get their threads locked and aknowledgement of the fact their threads actually exist on these forums. Make of that what you will.

berlin germany here: normal edition is sold all over the place. NO CE to be found anywhere however. Is expected to "come tomorrow", yeah right. Oh yeah and of course, the promised english-language download for 360 is nowqhere to be found either. Realy ****ING great.

I don't know what to thing, Gamestop in Italy have just confirmed that all versions PC and XBOX360 both edition Normal and Collector will be available from tomorrow on the shops. So Italy is indeed in southern EU and it seems al regular.

Well it seems that my order of the CE is being cancelled automatically, because they apperantly sold more pre-orders than CE's they actually received.

It seems that the site (eugames.nl) deleted their month delay message though, so it seems that they received at least SOME copies here in Holland!

I will now proceed to order it somewhere else (if I can find it) and I'll expect it to receive it on time. If not, I will have to resort to the Standard Edition.

Indeed. This seems to be a case of EA denying the existence of this issue. I guess they expect the problem to disappear by itself if they give us no response... I had to make an effort to phrase this sentence this politely.
