I am looking for something in Dutch consumer-rights that can help us force EA or Bioware to at least ACKNOWLEDGE our concerns, but honestly... I'm having very little luck.

There's one bit, namely:

Hoe snel krijgt u het product?

"How fast will I receive the product."
But it's not really all that appropriate, since we'd have to knock on the door of the shops, and since they're at least trying...

EDIT: We could always try the hook that we're investors in the company, and that we have a right for information regarding any delays concerning products, but that one's even less likely to be believed.

Okay iam good my order has been send today i got the email around 5,o'Clock (however you sai that in english Image IPB) But the strange thing is if its send today will i get it todayImage IPB? i hope so but else i will certainly get it tomorrow.

I live in holland and orderd my copy of the mass effect 2 xbox360 version on Free Record Shop.

Iam still pissed for the other country's that got delayed and get no official response, iam even feeling guilty that iam getting mine.Image IPB

Nah, I would just made me feel better about spending some extra cash here for the CE :P

I can also confirm 100% for dealy in Denmark too, been to Gamestop today, they said around 4th next month...Good thing I've pre-ordered from Game, and should supposedly get one CE on release date though...



Btw, I just need to share that for my utmost amazement, I dare to say that the CE in Bulgaria HAS to be the cheapest in all of Europe, lol...The numbers were extremely limited though, and they were gone in a matter of hours...

Reports are coming in from gamers in Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Poland, The Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Italy and Spain from the stores they pre-ordered their Mass Effect 2: Collectors Edition’s from, saying they will be delayed for over a week!!

The Mass Effect 2 forums on the BioWare social network are overflowing with these reports and one concerned gamer has managed to put all the information together into one post that you can view here.

And as you can see here, GameStop Spain is not shipping the game until the 4th of February. The same goes for Swedish retailer Webhallen.

There has been no official word from BioWare, as this seems to be a packaging and distribution problem . . . but obviously European gamers are not satisfied.

I believe one European gamer said it best when he said:
    “I don’t care who’s fault it is, if it’s a shipping/printing/localization problem, I don’t want an excuse or to hear you say you’re sorry, I just want answers…”

Well, today another game that I ordered over a month ago finally arrived (goddamn those slow-ass Norwegian custom agents!), so now I at least have Borderlands to mess around with until ME2 deigns to get here.

That's good news, I hope FRS will send mine soon as well then. I must be one of the first people who actually ordered it, back in December.

It may not be BioWare's fault.
No, let me put it different:

It's not BioWare's fault. However, as we all know, EA sucks ass (if you'll forgive my French) when it comes to satisfactionary customer support (which is against regulations in Europe, might I add. We are entitled to answers, as far as I know.).

Since BioWare is closest to EA, they could inform us instead.
At the very least acknowledge that there is a problem.
Right now, I'm wondering if their releasing Mass Effect 2's Collector's Edition in Europe wasn't a fluke. Something that wasn't supposed to happen, because right now we're being ignored.

We'll be getting our CE's only on Friday late here in South Africa but at least some shops have confirmed that we'll be able to pick ours up late afternoon.Unfortunately some people are going to have to wait till Saturday and others Monday or Tuesday even.



I'm also glad to see the EU CE does get the steelbook DVD case after I read that EU copies won't be including it.

I think most of us are aware that this delay has nothing to do with Bioware.
I've (and probably many others) sent emails to EA Sweden with no reply. EA Sweden doen't have a forum, so i can't vent there and EA UK has more or less said that since the CE will be on time there they don't care....

BioWare obviously doesn't mind that we talk about it here (or they would have locked it), if you don't like it, dont read it.

I've personally given up on getting an answer, i'm just here to get "support" from others in my situation.

Yeah... Mine still hasen't been sent yet! Goddammit. I ordered the CE the day after it was on the site... I really hope i will get an e-mail later today.

In all seriousness, I can't even get a reply from EA Finland, and the only reply I've had from EA UK was the time they confirmed that UK doesn't have a delay.

I agree with you on the BioWare bashing though, it's completely uncalled for. I've stated in all my posts regarding the companies that I place the blame on EA, the publisher, not BioWare, the developer. I can't control what people post though, so some will say what they do... don't generalize too much though, and think that this thread is only here for so called "whining". This is a valid concern, and as paying customers we (the thread posters) feel we are entitled to an honest answer.

I think that j/k remark is in reference to the "online petition" part. We all know those don't affect companies the size of EA.
