Some places are selling it early. Ive literally just come back from gamestop trying to persuade my mate to sell it to me now, he said he isnt allowed but they might be able to sell it after 7pm tonight. So if you give the stores a call tonight you might be able to pick it up early.

Yeah, I saw my 360 CE just inches from my hand but then he took it away . This was gamestop and I know game have theirs in stock too. Cant make any promises about them definately selling it tonight, I was told its a strong possibility. Call ahead so you dont go there and get told to wait til tomorrow .

I went to Media Markt (in Spain) an hour ago and they had the Standard Edition for PC, but not the PC's Collectors Edition, so for me, it's official now, the CE is delayed, at least in Spain.

On the european delay I havent read the whole thread so I dont know if this is relevant. The CE is available here in Northern Ireland which is part of the UK. But ive heard uncomfirmed reports that its not available in southern Ireland which isnt part of the UK. Which seems pretty damn strange. It requires absolutely no localisation.

Well, it's not exactly in Europe, but I've added an additional note in the first post due to a report I got today about the delay being true for South Africa as well.

Hm. According to this thread and Game.co.uk, Game has received another shipment of the CE. The company's site also now shows that this restocking has taken place for both PC and 360 CE versions.

If true, how is this possible? It's supposed to be a limited edition and there are countries that are yet to receive any copies.

I get a feeling, that too late EA has awaken to the amount of preorders and they have drawn our copies of CE to market areas with more value and on the same time machines are pushing out new CE's with lower grade stuff inside. For sale in Finland

I really don't know if I just should go to pickup a standard version of the game.

Bit of a longshot but it might be down to alot of people cancelling pre-orders because of all the hassle with the release. Maybe they got just enough cancelations to justify advertising it again. I know thats how i got my legendary edition of halo 3. Play.com had sold out but a day or 2 before release advertised it again with very limited numbers due to cancellations. Just a possible explanation .

Quick update: CE is available in all shops in germany EXCEPT Gamestop (where i pre-ordered). They will get it tomorrow. And for all those germans who are still hoping for an english voice patch (360): It seems to be a complete hoax made up by the wishful thinking of one of the german mods on these here forums. There NEVER was an official announcement of an englisch voice-pack from Bioware or EA. Sucks to be us.

I get the same nasty feeling while watching the situation evolve. As insult to injury, I held the stantard edition, just looking at it for what felt like ages, today at local supermarket while getting food for weekend.

I guess we'll find out when we finally get it. If it's localized there probably was some sort of printing error. If it's not, the bastards redirected the CEs to other contries.

Usually if UK gets a game we get it over here as well......this is so wrong....

Interesting, I wonder if I should order from there instead of waiting X amount of days to get my order from Finland. UK games works fine here in Finland.

I was THIS close to cancelling my pre-order from CDON, and switching to either the standard edition, or ordering the CE from game.se. They seem to still have it in stock, though I'm not sure if it really is so.

Wow sorry man didnt mean to panic you. I really cant confirm if thats true or not. I read it on another thread on here some guy from down south said his was delayed, guy in gamestop up here said he heard that too. But i really cant say for certain. Your best bet is to call wherever you have it pre-ordered or some local stores they should be able to tell you if they have had their stock delivered yet. Up here has had it since tuesday apparently.

Yep. Just ordered ME2 CE from game.co.uk. Saved 10 Euros and it's coming to me in 3-5 business days, that means next week. Thanks Silvery for information.

I realized that if this delay is intentional by EA, local gamestores will shoot them down.

If I now cancel my CE from Gamestop and grab a DDE from Steam, Gamestop doesn't get a penny from it. Of course someone else buys the CE, but then his/hers SE will be not sold. So, am just saying that gamestores are in the same boat with us, they want the CE's and they want them fast.

I've had a confirming text from Gamestation (UK) saying that my CE edition of Mass Effect will be ready for collection tomorrow. PC version.

Feel bad for those who are going to have to wait.
