It would be pretty weird indeed. All the delays were announced about a week ago, so I guess that if we were to be in the same situation we would have had confirmation by now.

i do hope so, i have preordered mine at Game Mania.(holland)

They changed preorders for regular edition in CE if u were first with preorder.

So the people who were first with preorder (like me) would be screwed....



If CE is not avalible on releasedate with no notification of delay, they will have a VERY ANGRY gamer in their shop!!!!

got a mail from cdon.com a couple a days ago confirming the delay on the collectors edition. They said it will be in 2. february.

Our games gets flown in from Europe. So I hope this doesn't affect us in South Africa. We already had a delay due to shipping for dragon age, please not another delay. No word on any delay yet thought.

I pre-ordered the CE from game.co.uk. I've heard nothing off them yet, but I will be annoyed if I do. The news of the delay has been floating around for about a week now. Fingers crossed.

I already payed for my CE in Poland gram.pl shop. They say shipment will be on 27th of January so i dont see any delay in Poland from them. Maybe something will change tommorow or other other., Thou i'm going to call that shop tommorow and call to EA.pl as well to get more info about this

But if I look at my pre-order history on their site, it says that the CE has been ordered. Either way, it's sold out already. 

I agree with you, no notification, no CE means an angry ME-fan.

I managed to pre-order yet another copy in GAME, in-store yesterday. That's 2 pre-orders I've got now.

Ragtag is from Scandinavia (I had a look at his profile).

I got my copy at a local FRS, but I guess that the Gamemania and FRS get the same version of the CE. I have a feeling we'll get lucky for once and be able to play the game on thursday of friday. Still feel sorry for the people in Europe who won't get their preorder on the release date... I really hope that you guys might get some compensation for this printing error thing.

yeah i know its a shame EA works like this i mean just becouse some fool can't type or work with a printer half of europe has a delay for the CE. Well like i said i'll call gamemania tomorrow and ask them, if they don't have a delay i don't think anybody in belgium will. I'll let you guys know as soon as I know

i'm getting realy confused now, i just found this on an forum

A week 5 release would be a delay for sure, same as here in Finland. I would call this one "probable", because we're also getting the English version of the game, so I don't see why it wouldn't be delayed for you like it's for us Finns.

that's so stupid from EA, if we -major fans- can't buy a collector edition and switch to SD editon, then who will?

Yeah, it's annoying to be left in the dark like this. I've already paid for my CE though, so I'll just have to wait unless something changes drastically. The most annoying thing however, is the fact that other people will be playing the game and posting on the forums while I wait around doing nothing.

Hmm, that message looks fairly familiar... oh yeah, I wrote it .

Anyway, the message from bol.com is true. I found the message on another forum but it also has been posted here on this forum. But I assume you also have read the rest of my post where the EA store stated that the game is still planned for the 29th.

On the forum where I first founded that mail from bol.com is also found an e-mail conversation from the guy who received the mail about the delay:

Ik heb bol zelf ook 2 keer gemailed:

Hartelijk dank voor uw e-mail van 22 januari 2010.

Volgens onze gegevens staat de releasedatum voor de game 'Mass Effect 2' op 28 januari 2010. Wij verwachten de game ook op deze datum te kunnen leveren.

Wij hopen u hiermee voldoende te hebben geïnformeerd.

Met vriendelijke groet,

Maar ik vond het antwoord niet heel erg duidelijk(er staat alleen Mass Effect 2, geen collector's edition), dus heb ze nog een keer gemailed:

Hartelijk dank voor uw e-mail van 23 januari 2010.

In een eerdere correspondentie hebben wij u laten weten dat wij de game 'Mass Effect 2' 28 januari 2010 verwachten te leveren.

Wij hopen u hiermee voldoende te hebben geïnformeerd.

So like always, game shops around here are pretty -not so good- . Game Mania even has the Digital Deluxe Edition description for the 360 CE en the DDE is pc only .

Guess we won't truly untill it's the 28th. I so wished I didn't cancelled my pre-order at Game.co.uk.

A question, will it affect to pre-oders only, or pre-orders and all the game shops of the aforemented country?



If it's the 2nd (I haven't preordered it, but I'm going to buy it to a shop), then I'll buy the Standart Edition. I won't wait a week or 2 either.

It only affect the Collector's Edition. Period.
Pre-orders and free-sale copies of the Collector's Edition ONLY. And ONLY in some countries, as of yet.

The standard game is still right on-schedule.
