Verder ik heb tevens de CE bij Bol.com besteld ik heb het zogenaamde emailtje over vertraging niet ontvangen en ze hebben verder niets door gegeven over vertragingen van de CE. Bol.com is hier vaak vrij tijdig in.


Update: niet veel nederlandse retailers bieden de CE van Mass Effect 2 aan maar de gene die het doen zoals dimensionplus en Gamemania geven allebei nog steeds 28 januari aan als release datum.

Nothing new I'm afraid, the delay stands as previously announced by retailers. I would expect the CE to have sold out in most of the countries mentioned, but there probably are pre-order cancellations now.

Consoleshop too (but they say 29th and 28the for the pc version lol). No idea about FRS since they removed it from their site, though no one received an e-mail from FRS.

Looks like consoleshop isn't sold out either.

dit is zeer goed, we leven op hoop dat het niet gedelayed is maar ik zit er toch mee in.

Yvo0310 and BjorntjuNL i dont think that the worker at bol.com in the netherlands knows much about the game and possible delayes. i pre orderd my CE there and i havend recieved any mail telling it was delayed, and bol.com is usualy pretty fast with that.

Yeah they sold out weeks ago.

It's worth mentioning though, for anyone who is still hoping to pick up a copy, that a lot of the retail stores might still be taking pre-orders. My local store said they reached their allocation 2 weeks ago, but then I went in and asked at 2 other GAME stores close by and both of them let me pre-order. And it's definitely the collector's ediiton, definitely on 360.

Ik hoop het. Ach ja, We zullen zien. Mischien is er helemaal geen vertraging hier in NL en krijgen we hem gewoon op de releasedag! :)Zie nu ook dat Consoleshop.nl de CE heeft. Daar staat ook nog steeds de 29'e bij. En die site is op dat punt volgensmij altijd wel actueel. (linkje: http://www.consolesh...n-xbox-360.html )

I hope so. Oh well. We will see what happens. Mabey there isn't an delay at all here in NL and we get it on the release date. I see that Consoleshop.nl also has the CE. With says the 29th. And that site is at that point always actual.

Gamestation in the UK is also taking CE preorders on PC and 360, as that's who I've got mine with. Hope there's no delay on the CE in the UK - I've never gone for the special editions of games before but I'm so looking forward to this I felt it made it all a bit more special.

For my part, I've written an e-mail to the store I plan to buy Mass Effect 2 regarding the delay (it's FNAC here in Spain, spanish people will know it for sure), and I'll post their reply as soon as they send it to me.

By now it's still set 28/Jan in their catalog...

Your welcome. I'am sure that is their is a delay it will send by mail to al CE buyers at Bol,com. This also happend to me when i preorderd asscinscreed 2 for the pc i received a mail two to three weeks before its release that the product would be delayed.

It appears that UK could get it in time, but only because no UK retailer has sent out email about the delay.

On a side note, we now have over 210 replies, but no official answer, so it's likely that we should get one tomorrow (Monday).

So far, there has been no report from the UK, so as it stand you're safe.
None of us are sure, though.

The Netherlands appeared safe too, until somebody came forward with an email from bol.com (a Dutch online multi-media store), so... wait until Monday or Tuesday for an email from either Game or news from these forums.

On the other hand, why the F*** doesn't BioWare comment on these reports?! It's easy for them to just post one line that either confirms or denies what seems to be going on. But hey, they're in North America...

The problem with Bol.com is that they have this:

Article - Mass Effect 2 Collector's Edition
Status - In progress
Shipped - On release (op verschijningsdatum)

So they don't actually have a releasedate for the CE. And seeing how they removed the CE from their stock, you can't check the releasedate there either.

Those emails Pegas posted a couple pages back to Bol.com were from me. It said that they have 'Mass Effect 2' the 28th. Now they never said Collector's Edition(while I clearly asked information for that), so I don't know if bol.com has a delay or not.
It would be weird though if Bol.com had a delay and other stores don't.

Ordered my pc CE copy also at Free Record Shop in the Netherlands since it was cheaper than the SE from bol.com (where I normally order games) for some weird reason. Just like all the other posters I have also not received an email regarding any delay.

I also sent them an email on Friday, but no response from that yet so hopefully tomorrow since I will want to change my pre-order to a SE if the delay is really a week+.
