Here's an idea for a DLC: Crouching Shepard, Hidden Heat Sink.
Upon finding the wreck of original Normandy, Shepard is also able to retrieve a few pieces of his/her old equipment (i.e. guns). After a few moments of reminiscing, Shepard is able to rediscover the amazing combat skill of Crouching. Also, he is really surprised to discover that his old weapons have no need for some non reusable "thermal clips" and still work very well. Suddenly, the final piece of the puzzle falls into its place - thermal clip technology is just a fiendish plot to hamper combat effectiveness of all species in the galaxy. And so Shepard sets out on a mission to find and brutally punish those responsible for making him run all over the place and pick up stupid clips just so he could shoot things...
God I would love to see a devs face or even better his reaction when reading this lol.
...
It's funny cuz its true.
"How doez I crouch?"

Do you think that Tali would want your femshep? No one ever asks that one...
The dialogue is definately there imo, you get to the point of saying I trust you too, and she gets all flustered, says she will speak to you later but thats it :<
Id love as a DLC tho involving locating the quarian homeworld, and retaking it with a quarian assault force or something, and since legion rehacks the geth, it wouldnt be as much of a stronghold, be even more interesting if legion helps tali out, as in, a geth and quarian joint force. I can see so much interesting backstories being revealed, some old characters making a reappearance, such as the admirals or kal'regar or veetor etc aswell as new gear and equipment. Possibly even use the upcoming hammerhead in it.
You Were ON IT, Haestrom, it's dead. the sun is too hazardous now.

All stat boosts removed from all N7 armour sections and turned into armour mods instead. Said armour mods to then be upgradable via research.
Helmet on/off toggle switch option. - So i'm not forced to not wear a helmet all the time but only when I want to.
New missions.
The removal of the bloody stupid eyesore that is the mission completed screen.
Stats for the weapons so I don't constantly go "WTF!" when trying to work out which weapons to use.
New weapons.
More ways of gaining credits.
Better XP curve for leveling up, in order to compensate for including XP for kills.
Proper mission briefing similar to those from Admiral Hackett in ME1, so that I actually know when i've received a mission to do.
Faster planet scaning.
resource market to sell and exchange unwanted resources.

Gameplay:
* An in-game stock market set up to sell off some of your excess minerals since it's quite easy to get several times more minerals than you have credits.
* Fiddle with the assault rifles to make them a bit more accurate.
* Make the shotguns more useful ala that shotgun mod that was posted.
* Allow us to set squad points for team members from the private terminal instead of just before a mission starts.
* Speed up planet scanning for the 360 prior to the scanner upgrade.
Upgrades:
* More ship stuff that can actually payoff in the endgame, like a multi-warhead missile that the Narada used in Star Trek, or a better point defense system (which can be shown off in an N7 mission cutscene or something).
* Definitely more stuff for the guns, especially heavy weapons. Just getting ammo increases seemed kinda cheap.
* Make the med bay upgrade more useful. Garrus should be able to get his face fixed!
Armor:
* More pieces, possibly more patterns.
* The ability to color the preorder bonus armor.
Missions:
* Maybe an expansion with Shepard and company retaking a hijacked frigate from some mercs, starting with combat on the outer hull, then moving into the ship, with interaction with the ship's crew.
* Interesting side missions with some tough choices.
* Maybe have some missions that showcase the upgrades to the Normandy prior to going through the Omega 4 relay. It really bugs me that I don't know if the minerals I invested were put to good use until I pass the point of no return.
* Something involving hanar, like a bunch of hanar are being held hostage because they're preventing some company from nabbing a Prothean artifact or something.

With the official launch of the game just days away, I believe it may be time to turn from speculation about the main game and look onwards to what will come next; namely future DLC content and even expansion packs.
I would love to see a DLC released that focused on two things: a mission on Mars and same-sex romance relationships. Mars is really the birthplace of the Systems Alliance, the origins of Human galactic power. Such a huge role in human history and yet it's ignored, a "backwater" according to the codex. Well damn, it should be bigger. A lot bigger! Maybe a mission where Shepards finds something incredible, technology that would turn Mars into a paradise for human settlers (in a way that is completely not a rip off of Total Recall). As for the same sex romance thing, well... my femShep wants Tali dammit, and such and such.
I could care less for same sex romance, i think that would be a waste of time and energy. That said I like your idea about Mars. Also I would very much like to go back to Ilos, or even revisit Eden Prime. But I think a good DLC would be one that would be some sort of colonial world that has renewing quests and items. And things to kill time like a shooting range some sort of Mako race. Things to keep you busy playing Mass Effect till #3 comes out.

Whereas ME1 went : Normandy - Airlock - Loading screen - Airlock - Catwalk - Elevator - C-Sec - Elevator - Presidium : in an almost seamless way
ME2 goes : Normandy - Loading Screen - Dockside : in a disjointed way.
And, how about a Normandy that actually stays docked when you enter it after a recruit mission, I haven't finished all my business yet, why the hell would I want to take off and then dock again.
Yes I know these are never going to happen, but I can dream can't I.

Without a doubt more weapons and armour pieces are needed and as much as I like the new system I would like to see a mix of old and new upgrade systems. By this I mean I like to be able to research upgrades but I think it would be great for each weapon to have slots that can use the upgrades eg, scope, barrel (accuracy), mass effect driver (the propulsion engine for the weapons) - this could upgrade power and/or range and ammo capacity. I think that this would allow us the customisation we want but not have clogged up inventories.

N7 Missions:
- Researching to help the Quarians find a new homeworld.
- Working with the Salarian Special Tasks Group to quell Citadel spacial disputes.
- Settling hostage situations and/or other scenarios with pirates--several codex entries refer to them, but we see no real missions involving them.
- Helping party members with other issues, tasks, or problems that have come up since you can continue the playthrough of a game after completing the story.
- Upgraded armor interface that allows us to add new armors to members of our party--simply allow us to cycle them out like we do for the Cerberus colored uniforms they switch to now, but also giving us the options to change their armor pieces like Shephard does.
- Greater number of weapons not just for Shephard, but for everyone in the party since some of the weapons Shephard uses can be used by party members in a similar class.
- Blue Suns--Help them with smuggling operations
- Blood Pack--Run as an enforcer for them on various worlds
- Eclipse--Conduct raids on competitors for the Red Sand shipments
- Mars--Allow us to see the Prothean ruins at the polar zone, as well as tour the minute settlement.
- Human space stations in either Citadel or Terminus spacial zones--Missions to visit relatives of the human characters such as Miranda's father or even Shephard's parents. Also to see the Alliance's Arcturus station where the staging ground for the human fleet was before the Battle of the Citadel.
- Council races homeworlds--Gives a better insight into the cultures and behaviors of the Asari, Turians, and the Salarians.

Full Citadel w/realized Presidium.
I loved Bring Down the Sky in ME1 (& the fact the decision was tracked for ME2). I'd like more of this type of substantive & interesting DLC content as well.

I also agree with most of tMc Tallgeese 's ideas accept for the Merc mission, I killed so many of those loosers that they are probably suppost to shoot me on site.
