Well if they wrap up the trilogy it would be fine.

The problem with KotOR was they left to much hanging in the wind, mainly what the hell happened to Revan.

If ME were to be wrapped up nicely with all (or most) issues coming to some kind of sensible conclusion then I'd fully support an MMO taking place outside the timeline of the trilogy.  Ideally after the trilogy by enough that the details of what Shepard did in the series are somewhat fuzzy so nobody's upset that they have to play in a world where their Shepard isn't "the" Shepard.

True... They should have done this with Kotor before they turned it into a MMO
