Ah. Well gotta say, if Kasumi is DLC hopefully it and all other character DLC's are less then the Shale 15 dollars.

as long as you get the game new zaeed will be free and from the looks of it all the content they made but took out of the game is free

Most of the squad should be humans, considering we are fighting for human interests alone.

Although I agree, 4 humans is enough.

Kasumi is surely no "alias", like Jack it`s very clear this is her name. Zaeed is on the list and he is also no alias, his name is Zaeed. And this character is to 100% finished if this list is a year old. Zaeed is DLC because he was cutted out from the game, so either shes DLC nearly after release or still anywhere in the game and this is highly possible because the Devs said several times, that you can still be surprised.

I just hope kasumi isnt a human. We already have Sheapard + 4 humans, that is enough. A member of a completely new alien race would be cool.

Kasumi is the Japanese word for "mist". That doesn't help much, but wasn't Liara canceled? They could have used something vague like that as a placeholder for her old character. Just a guess.

Devs are nerdy so here is an alternative which points to the same idea as above: In UMTS (found in cell phones) KASUMI is used in the confidentiality and integrity algorithms. So, Kusami might also mean: "confidential".

I'm absolutely sure at this point that it is a DLC character. I came to this conclusion myself when I noticed she has no achievements (like Zaeed) and also no theme on the soundtrack (like Zaeed) and yet is listed alongside everyone else on that debug menu. As to what she will be...I'm betting on synthetic. Not geth or AI, but possibly one of those VI mech things you fight in the game, modeled after a female.

I'm hoping it will be one of the LOKI/FENRIS/YMIR Mechs like someone suggested. Their design is quite like something the Japanese might actually create (Mecha-ish enough, but still believable), so might explain the name. Plus, I've thought those mechs are awesome from Day One, I want one >:C

Agreed, four humans out of twelve companions is more than enough. I'm still holding out for it being a LOKI/FENRIS/YMIR mech (Or a custom variant thereof)
