*checks watch* yep, time for another of these threads....

I'm getting the game for 360 because my computer is junk, and I enjoy not having to worry about computer specs when buying a game. OH, and it has my saves as well. I suggest you get the game for whichever system you prefer, because really, it's all just preference.

Both for me.

My first playthrough will definitely be on the 360 since that's where my original Shepard is from ME1. I'll probably want to import a couple other Shepards on 360 for subsequent playthroughs as well.

Any new Shepards I start in ME2 will most likely be in the PC version. I was unable to make it further than level 15 in any of my attempts to play the PC version of ME1 due to the volume and severity of technical issues I ran into with it. I'm optimistic that ME2 will work out much better since it isn't a 3rd party port from the 360 version.

I anticipate liking the kb/mouse control scheme better for ME2 since it seems to be almost pure TPS combat mechanics and it sounds like you'll wind up with a good deal more flexibility in assigning hotkeys/buttons for abilities and the like.  My PC also has significantly more horsepower than my 360 assuming the game is able to make good use of it.

With a decent lap board it's trivial for me to set the PC up in the living room for the same lounging on the couch, 42' 720/1080p loving I get playing a console game. The only common con I get with this set up vs. the console is audio. I'm really hoping that I'll be able to coax 5.1 audio out of this version as well.

PC....With my gaming rig, it chews up anything....a 360 reminds me of Commodore 64 graphics. Not that I didn't love the C64.

I use my TV for my PC's monitor, I have a 37" HDTV I use with my PC, so a TV shouldn't be a factor for anyone with a decent PC.

I'm mainly a PC gamer, and got this type of game for PC. I also own a ps3 but I only get games for that, that are game specific for the ps3 as an exclusive.

PC is the natural choice if you've got the specs for it.

+Higher resolution
+Better graphics and effects
+Faster load times (especially if ME1 is any comparison)
+More precise aiming with mouse
+More buttons to map your powers
+$10 less than the console version
+Possibility of modding (taking bets on how long before we see a save game editor that lets you import whatever plot flags you want into ME2)

-No support for Live (I think).

I got ME1 on the 360 because it was the only version available at the time. Played every class to the mid 50s on it.

I got the PC version when it was on sale for $5 and liked it so much I was thinking of getting ME2 for the PC as well, mouse and keyboard and everything.

But I decided to stick with the 360 version as they've improved ME2 a lot (fewer powers, more hotkeys on the controller) and for me the 360/HDTV on the couch is preferable to the PC setup in terms of... epicness I guess.

So 360 for me.

PC for the following reasons:

Mouse + Keyboard support is better

Possiblity of Mods

I'm on my 3rd 360 due to RROD

I got ME1 on the PC

I can play at a higher resolution than the 360 supports

I spent about 10x more money on the PC setup so might aswell make it worth every penny

I don't have to kick my brothers off the TV to play using the 360

Better graphics performance (big monitor and big rig)

3 in my house all have pcs and can play at the same time

Mouse control

Thanks Bioware for releasing such an incredible game but next time please listen to ALL your customers and not just a part of them

what happens when all customers don't agreee?

Anyways, I don't believe they offered 360 controller support for DA:O either.  Probably ahs to do with the additional time it would take to program and they don't feel it's worth it.

But you are correct, PC will always be better.

That is correct.  ME and DAO were both optimized for the Keyboard/mouse on the PC.  I prefer it that way.  I played through ME on the 360 but have since quit gaming on consoles in favor of my monstrocity of a custom PC.  Haven't looked back.  I replayed ME on the PC and loved the interface so much more with mouse/keyboard.

I am getting the PC version of ME2 (and any other game, for that matter)

What do you mean?  Most modern digital TV's are monitors with tuners in them.  That's really the only thing that differenciates an LCD TV from a computer LCD.  The screen technology is the same.

That being said, my system can run from my 24" widescreen monitor in the office or from the 57" HDTV downstairs via HDMI.  Both work just as well.

Yeah, at this point it they're pretty much all just displays with different aspect ratios, specs, and built in features.  Most of your 24" and up 16x10 displays run at higher res than the biggest 16x9 displays however.

For gaming, I don't really see a need for more than 1080p or 1900 x 1200  @ 120hz on anything under a 50" display personally, but maybe my eyes are just going south.

PC, if yours is good enough. It (should) only takes a few minutes to take down everything from where you usually are, and hook it up to a nice TV. I do it all the time.

360 because my comp is crap and my ME1 Shep is there. That and I love playing epic games on my tv. My comp screen just feels to cramped.
