Same problem. I purchased DAO on Impulse, redeemed my pre-order redemption codes and nothing shows up.

My downloadable content did not appear in game until I was able to "log in" from the main menu of the game. You should also have redeemed your codes and registered your game on this site too. There's now a link at the top of the redeem code page that should let you see what you have redeemed.

It might take hours, but just wait.  The servers are being assaulted by tons of people, and I was in your boat until randomly, I get stuff being downloaded.

^^ nope, they said that those who downloaded the game don't have the updater service... waiting won't do a thing.

I had the same problem as the OP. The whole dlc menu was empty. This is what worked for me:
Hit windows + r and type in services.msc
Locate the Dragon Age: Origins - Content Updater and double-click it.
Push the start button and then launch the game.

I don't have any such content updater when I run services.msc

I'm having the same issues (No DLC shows up as available, let alone downloaded), but being from europe, where the game only unlocked 2 hours ago, I was wondering if any europeans have had issues with it so far.

Posted this elsewhere, but here it is just in case...

I finally was able to get my downloads to work. I realized, during the installation, that the .NET framework installed improperly. To fix this, I downloaded a program that completely uninstalled and cleaned out previous installations of the NET framework, then installed the new 3.5 version from the Microsoft Support Site. Now the downloads are finally showing in my queu.

What I had to do was delete the DAUpdater .exe and then re-install. I have a Steam pre-order so the files were in a Steam folder.

Thanks for the tip.  This also worked for me.  It looks like the content updater service needs to be enabled in order for the download to happen.

Nothing showing up for me either (Steam DDE version, codes entered into this site), and if I try to manually run the DA updater service it dies immediately with an error (error 193), not sure if that is indicative of a problem or simply that it isn't meant to be manually started by the user.

Edit:
Uninstalled and then reinstalled and started the updater service as per part  3.2.4 of the following thread:

http://social.biowar.../58/index/81613

and now it has my items in the downloading tab.

+1 worked for me ,  For vista users do as drak says, just type services.msc and exec it, then look for the service and launch it, game must be down or wont work, then relaunch the game and the contents will be there and downloading.

What do I do if I forgot to check my e-mail when I bought the game, so when I installed it yesterday, the e-mail they sent me for the downloadable content went into my junk folder and is long gone by now, is there any way I could get them to re-email me the info, by the way I bought the game from steam.

It seems there are some cases where the updater was not or did not install correctly - so doing a manual start of that seems to fix it for most.

Specific to Steam and content keys - you can view your keys anytime: Go to My Games tab, r-click on the game and select 'view game cd key'. This should list your game cd key as well as dlc keys.
