I have a question for experienced Amazon customers, preferably somebody who has pre-ordered from them.

On December 26th I pre-ordered the CE for Mass Effect 2, but it's extremely close to release date now, and I haven't gotten the e-mail for my Infernus(Inferno?) armor and  when I check my Amazon account it says "No orders or transactions" and I'm just worried that I won't be receiving my order. And I do have the e-receipt.

it specifically says on there site you will get the codes within 10 days that they ship the game to you, so don't worry till January 5th that you don't have the codes (assuming you got release day delivery)

Now for the not being able to see your info, be sure to check you are looking at all your orders, not the last just 30 days.

Mine hasn't been shipped yet, and it doesn't help me at all that Bayonetta didn't ship for a week after it came out (Despite me ordering it on the 26th).

I'm just as worried as you are.

You get the code after the game is released up to 10 days as said by the post above me. As for the transaction, Amazon deducts the money from you when they actually ship the game. Don't worry, I was worried like you were at one point. :D My proof? I actually went to Amazon Q & As and forums. I'm currently in the same situation as you are. I want my CE!

So....you came on this forum to ask about your Amazon order?

I have a worry as well, but it's not about your order.

They send it after they send the order.

They did this for me with Dragon Age: Origins. It was shipped and a few hours later, I got my Amazon Pre-Order codes for DA: O.

My main worry is Amazon over-sells CE sometimes (look at the D&D 4E debacle). I'm hoping I actually /get/ me CE. I did release date delivery, so hopefully if they did oversell, I get it and someone who did normal or super save don't. :)

I just check my shipping date on Amazon. Mine's not shipping until the 27th, and I'm not even eligible for overnight or 2-day shipping because I have a PO Box (I'm a grad student living in a dorm).

My plan is to rent the game from Blockbuster Monday morning since I won't be getting my Collector's Edition in the mail till Friday or Saturday at the earliest.

Great! Thanks for you response. You just took a load off my back. Oh and by the way I didn't order release date delivery and I'm not getting my game until 6 days later :crying: I regret being cheap and choosing the free option.

PS: I posted this here because I was pretty sure people would be here that per-ordered the game and wanted to make sure it wasn't only mine. Also, I still have a little faith that this forum can be at least a little mature.

PSS: Can I change my shipping type on the 26th? I at least want to get standard shipping.

@Nimander

Doesn't release date delivery give you more chance to be delayed for at least a few more days while they await a new shipment? But I'm not worried about my order, considering they just put themselves back in stock on Amazon.com and I ordered way back on the 26th.

I also panicked when I couldn't find my order recently. Make sure your history is open for about 6 months or so, and it should pop up.

As to your codes, I ordered my DA:O CE from Amazon and my codes were in my inbox before the game was in my mail box, and the game arrived at 3:00 on the day or release, so don't worry yet. If you haven't received them after about a week or so, then I'd start worrying.

I got the Dragon Age code a couple days after it shipped. I believe they emailed them in bulk for Dragon Age so you should hear other people getting them as well.

Same thing for me. I order DA:O from Amazon and got the code within the week. They are pretty good about getting things on time.

Like Sbri, check all your orders over the last 6 months.

I pre-ordered ME2 CE (PC) from Amazon US months ago with standard shipping. On January 24th I switched the shipping to 2-day UPS. My experiences with orders shipped via USPS or DHL are abysmal and that is putting it mildly. I was informed on the 25th at 10:30 AM that my item had shipped with the arrival date being the 27th. I received my package at 11 AM on the 26th. Nice surprise to get the game on the street date. Amazon didn't do anything special to speed up the delivery other than shipping the game a day early. I have UPS to thank for getting it in 1 day. Amazon emailed out my Inferno armor redemption code at 3:13 AM EST on January 28th. So, people should be getting them soon if they haven't already.

Long story short, things worked out beautifully for my Amazon pre-order. I use Amazon US for many of my game pre-orders except when they either lack a CE, another e-tailer/retailer has pre-order bonus content that I would prefer over what Amazon is including, or I find a much better price somewhere else. I've had zero issues with Amazon US for any of my gaming orders.
