Send a PM with a link to the post and a link to the players profile to a mod. I figure if they hear it enough, they might start to do something about it. Unless they've been specifically instructed to leave the "customers" to do as they please.

If the BioWare moderators aren't going to ban those people, or allow the volunteer moderators to do so, then BioWare is going to end up losing customers. However, since not everyone visits a game developer's website, it probably won't be enough people to change some policies, unfortunately.

In an earlier post in this thread, Kevin Lynch said he was taking this thread straight to Dev Victor Wachter. I hope Victor's victory over Trollkind will become a future News Announcement.

Its interesting how the Old mass effect forums were heavily moderated whereas this one is practically the wild, wild west. Miss my old forums!

I just wanted to point out that I am very happy with the effort put forward by a couple of the mods, lately. Perhaps all the rest are doing the same. I can't be sure. But recently, at least a couple of them I have seen make a real effort to keep things enjoyable around here.

A bit of freedom for posting and suddenly it's immaturity and 'unclean'?

'Swearing' does not suddenly equal immaturity. Tsticking with puritan ideals, for example, shows how repressed a person is. The old forums had way too many restrictions for most to enjoy them... this time around, you people should claim some responsibility and actually tailor your experience so that the rest of us don't need to suffer under your version of 'maturity'.

Ignore is there for a reason. Use it.

I respectfully decline. I will continue to report threads and posters that break the rules.

I don't mind a bit of swearing now and then, but as Lucy_Glittter says, I don't want another 4chan, or for the idjits who think that swearing up a storm and being trollish is l33t and cool.

And it's in the rules, so Adanu? I'll report egregious uses as well and hope they eventually get banned.

My 2c.

I'm starting to see more and more people getting out of line. The name-calling on the ME forums aimed towards anyone who doesn't think ME2 was the perfect product of a god is ridiculous.

Totally agree with OP on this. I'm sure Bioware has one of the most loyal fanbases that gamingcompanies can hope for. I'm sure we deserve to have the hatemachines and retarded trolls banished from our site.

Agrees with the OP.

The ye'ol BioBoard is moderated sell and members are orderly, you'd find interesting topics about ME2 left and right. It's a bit hard to sift thru all this spam and hate going around here.

Most of the topics on the original forum are love threads about Tali and Miranda... and the other half were about her boobs. I wouldn't call that interesting, but to each their own.

Anyway... the one thing I really, *really *wish they'd fix is search.

People are sometimes posting topics about vulgarity. I hope the Dev's are working on doing something about all this.

We want cozy, clean Forums. Troll infestations drive customers away.

I do hope this doesn't mean we have to drink the specially prepared blood of forum trolls to properly combat them. I sense legal repercussions.

Does the forums have rules of any kind? I'm starting to see more and more spam (posts that do not contribute to the thread in any meaningful way whatsoever) and more and more idiocy. Stupid people on the forums (now, I'm not saying everyone here is stupid, just that there are a few very loud, very stupid people) won't keep me from buying Bioware games, but they will keep me from using this fancy social networking thing Bioware built. I'd would absolutely hate it if the level of discussion in the Bioware forums fell to the level of EA forums in general (I swear, the Battlefield forums are probably worse than /b/)

Site Rules are here. It seems to be getting people to actually listen to them that's the trick. Image IPB I keep seeing people constantly posting spoilers in non-spoiler Forums as a substitute for registering for access to Gameplay Forums. They really seriously don't seem to care at all what they do to other people's fun. Image IPB Irresponsible Forum behavior. I'm a Forum novice & I don't screw up this bad.

Perhaps the Ban Hammer needs a Tier Material power-up.

This is exactly the kinda thing I do NOT wanna see on these Forums. <_< Mr. Victor, is the Ban Hammer Tier Material upgrading done yet? :(

Are you delibrately stalking me on the forum and cherry picking the parts where i insulted someone and outright ignored the public apology towards the opposing member?

I'm sorry but you don't get to choose who gets banned and who doesn't.

By the way, remove those pictured from your profile, you know what i am talking about, i may have lost my cool against a single forum member, but it gives you absolutely no right to take screenshots and try to use it to defame me considering i apologized to the member.

you all should be banned because of being tricked by EA into thinking that bioware still exists. the name is used just to keep you thinking that nothing has changed. Thats why the forums are not regulated like the old ones ,EA is running the show now and they only care about one thing $$$$. want proof look whos TOS the "biowares social site" belongs to.

He did openly appologize to me. While I was not happy with his behavior at the time, he's been polite and said he was sorry since then. So there is no need for any more negativity.

I'm glad the issue was peacefully resolved. Those 2 Screenshots are how much I want these Forums to stay clean & civil. Now that their jobs are done, i'm seeking their removal. My Album's been bugged for awhile, so I tried to nuke the Album, then remake it & rebuild it. I went to do it, then found to my shock that there's no Album Deletion capability available. (Why?) I'm seeking Dev assistance on the matter, the Thread's been made & deployed.

My apologies for the delay.

You mean the ones who still follow the forum rules and terms of service? Age doesn't have much to do with following the rules though. On another forum one member was really well behaved, polite, and helpful; then like Jekyll and Hyde, he posted like a hyper kid that just drank a case of red bull to wash down the five pounds of sugar he ate; spammed, insulted everyone, and generally behaved like an ass. The moderators sent him an email, basically saying "What the heck is going on?" and found out that the calm, reasonable, rule-abiding poster was 14 years old. The hyper jerk was the father who used the kid's account. The kid was told to make a new account, cause his dad was not going to last long the way he was acting.
