[Haasth]

Now I know this has been asked before a thousand times, hell I have read probably everything there is on the subject before... But seeing I am going through my last playthrough - right now actually - I'd like to extra confirmation on something.

Right now I am trying to establish two saves from the same playthrough - one where I do not romance anyone and one where I romance Liara. Now am I correct to assume that if I tell Liara to 'buzz off' during the final romance scene aka sex scene she will not count as a romance option and thus it will basically be as if I did not romance anyone when I import that save to Mass Effect 2?

Well... I'm just checking, they could make it so that all the dialogue counts as 'romancing her'. 
As she says herself; a relationship is more than mere physical contact. 

I'd hate to import the save into Mass Effect 2, only to see "Romance: Liara" or some such. Would definitely be a "FUUUUUUUU" moment.

Don't you have the option of going "not now... after the mission"? In which case it would still be a romance but just one where you move more slowly.

When you first talk to Liara she just comes out and says she likes you, you can say you don't feel the same way about her and end the romance before it starts. With Ashley its a lot worse as just being nice to her will start a romance with her. If uv already started a romanc with either of them at the lockdown scene where one of them aproachs you, just say the renegae responses. Im not sure if this will work on Liara but it did manage to end the romance with Ashley.

Yeah, that's what I'm wondering.
If at that point it is already considered a romance option or not... so if I send her away (due to the 'lower' options) on one of my playthroughs that Shepard will remain solo. That way I don't have to go through all the effort of doing all the main storyline missions again just so I have one where I did not talk to her after each.
