I am unable to defeat the sloth demon
1) After telling my followers "to snap off" they wouldn't follow me. I can't solo sloth demon on easy mode, moron.
2) And secondly, the last form of sloth demon is impossible to beat. The ice prison cage immobilized me, but not the enemy (ironic????). While immobilized, I am unable to attack and use potions.
Bioware, please pull the chair, open your toolkit and FREAKING FIX IT! OMG!
FIX THIS STUPID BUG!

I found Wynne the reason why I got this at first try without any worries.
Position her far away, and get your tank and DPS to pount away at the sloth demon. Try and be in the golem version yourself because I found Sloth rips through my other folk.. Make Wynne cast group heal just as he casts his blizzard, and you will find your party makes it through just fine. And the lyrium mines make it easy for her to recharge both mana and health if she gets stray damage. Keep her away from area of effect and get her to keep pressing group heal.

Sloth is beatable. Its one the tougher fights in the game but its not a bug!

First, if they snap out of it and you finally go to the sloth demon's "island" your party doesn't appear? If they don't appear then your saved game is bugged which is baffling to even consider, go back to an earlier save if possible just before the Mages tower.
Second, learn to pause and study your position and try to relocate and flank the sloth demon. Use healing poultices and salves if you are having problems.
