Now I'm not talking about thermal clips and I know nothing will change from this but I'm wondering how people feel about ammo being skills instead of upgrades for weapons?
Personally I feel it was a cheap way for them to avoid having to come up with other abilities for certain classes and honestly don't see how it makes sense. I mean an adept can through someone off a walkway with their mind but they apparently can't figure out how to load a cryo round into their weapon? I played through ME 3 times as a soldier and to see that half of my abilities are now just a specific type of ammo as apposed to 6 different abilities like the adept kind of upsets me and doesn't really draw me to the class anymore.
Now don't get me wrong, I like that I can on the fly change them but really I feel it's something that any class should be able to do because it's not like you are ftripping the weapon down and rebuilding it and as we know that we are just changing out thermal clips that means that we are eaither hitting a button on our gun or there's a place on the gun to put in a little cartridge and neither of these would take a specific type of training to do.
Thoughts on ammo changes?

Well it had to go for inventoty, I would prefer that they were unlocked through research though and then usable, instead of specific class types having acces to specific types of ammo, each with pros and cons.

Maybe the elemental ammo mods are really rare. (the ones that work with the new kinds of guns anyway) Maybe soldiers spent more time trying to aquire them because of their focus on guns, while adepts didn't feel they needed it enough to hunt it down over trying to complete other missions.
Or at least, maybe soldiers were better at understanding where to look to buy them.

Well I keep hearing about the ability to customize and upgrade your weapon so I don't think it really needed to go skill based because if I can really upgrade my weapon via research, no reason I couldn't still include ammo mods. I won't get into how much I think the inventory change was a stupid idea.

Maybe, but then this to me says that instead of making them skills, soldiers should have simply either gotten a bonus when using ammos or gotten a discount in buying them. I could see everyone have base lvl ammos but then giving soldiers a comabt training that allowed them to modify ammo for additional bonuses or affects.
