2 questions, people. 

 

I wish to play ME2 with both a female and a male shepard, having many interactions with the crew, and being able to have my fish saved and Kelly alive in ME3. But I wanted to do this without betraying my love interest and carried romance Liara over the whole trilogy. is there a way for me to have dinner with kelly without having her dance for me after the sm, and without having an affair with her? Just as 2 good friends?

 

Also, while having paragon talks with the crew, which options or paths are forbidden to take in order not to make them think I´m making a pass at them (aside from mordin, of course)? I always have problems with jack and a paragon male shepard. She always thinks I´m after sex, and then she locks herself and never wants to talk again. Is there any way to prevent this from happening? 

 

Is there a list of what to avoid? I want to have a strategy at hand in order to carry out a romance with all 3 LIs from me1 without triggering the betrayal alarm, and also having Kelly alive and well in me3 with the refuges. But still, trying to be as polite as possible to my crewmen, but without giving them false ideas of love interest. 

 

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

On  my last playthrough I was hoping to have Kelly dance for me but she never sent the email. I was informed that sometimes Kelly bugs out for femsheps. Maybe have your Normandy date with Liara before the SM and that will stop Kelly from sending her email. Of course, you can simply not call her up to your cabin. Its not a big deal, really, except from an RP perspective whether she dances for you or not since it does not register as a romance.

 

Not sure what your problem with Jack is. Don't tell her you want sex right away, pick the middle "no thanks" option. Romance paths are fairly clearly marked, and if you do find an NPC thinking you are interested, there seems to be clearly marked "opt-out" dialogue paths. I remember telling Miranda it was nice to see her smile after her LM. I didn't think that was a romance path, but it was. But then I was given an "opt-out" option where I made it clear I was not interested. For Garrus, just don't tell him you want to work off stress with him. On the whole I don't think you will get ninja-manced like in ME1.

I've never had Kelly dance for my femshep. Never received an email about it, however she has fed my fish. I am not interested in her romantically, and so once I get the come to my cabin date, I stop talking to her beyond the "Is there anything I should know?" script. Unfortunately, just getting her to feed the fish results in her hugging my femshep in ME3 for a prolonged, uncomfortable and awkward moment. But, hugging doesn't mean romance in my book.

She only dances for you when you have no LI, so you're in the clear for that. Also, if you do want the dance, you have to tell her during the SM that you came ro rescue her/the crew.If you tell her the mission comes first, she will not send the email, and she will not dance for you.

About Jack: she doesn't want to talk anymore after you a) had casual sex with her, or you blow her off.

Having dinner with her doesn't hurt anything. You can talk with her throughout the game flirting with her. Don't read the email from her after the suicide mission and you will be fine.

Hmm. I wonder if that is why she never sent the email? BTW, her reaction to Shepard's line about nothing else mattering except the mission is rather amusing: "It matters to me!"

Hooray! Kelly danced for me. This time I made sure to tell Chakwas that I would never abandon my crew. That seemed to do the trick.
