What is a bromance...?

Cullen: straight
DHMG: gay
Solas: bi

 

What I want:

I'd like to romance DHMG, Cass and Solas as an f!Inquisitor, but I've reached the point where I'm gonna be glad if I get just one of them

My guess:

 

Bi: Cassandra, Solas

Straight: Cullen, Scribbles

Gay: DHMG, Sera

 

I would also like to see Iron Bull as Qunari only (Let's go with bi, why not?)

 

Varric could be fun as Dwarf only, but I would rather they stay true to his backstory than have him be romancable. So he'd basically have to get over Bianca at some point during the story (maybe that's why he'll equip daggers!)

My guesses (and every sexual orientation get two choices despite there being only 5 LIs)

 

1 gay male (?)

1 straight male (Cullen)

2 bisexual female (Cassandra & ArcherGirl)

1 bisexual man (?)

 

The ? is more that I haven't really seen the male characters any other place than in concept art and screenshot. Right now DHMG is sort of pinging my Gaidar, but it's hard to see if first contact in the game would give me the same results.

 

As for Bromance, Varric is a prime candidate again. Hard to tell about the other characters, we don't know anything about half of them.

Varric as femdwarf-only would be interesting.

 

I have a sneaking suspicion Varric with either NOT be romancable (Since its been said returning companions are not romancable)

Or if he is a romance he will restricted to Female Dwarf Inquisitors.

I'm seeing a lot of folks thinking both Cass and Cullen will be straight. Set aside my own heartache for a second if this proves true....... but, why? Is it because they were the first LI announcements? One is an NPC and one is a companion. Seems like one would be straight and the other bi, not both straight (or both bi). 

 

I can see an argument for making the two NPCs straight (Cullen and Scribe Girl). And I could see an argument for making them the bi LIs (thus making Cass straight). But not both Cass and Cullen being straight.

Cassandra: My gut tells me she will be Bi.  Both men and women wanted to romance Aveline. Men and women also expressed interest in romancing a Warrior.  She will be Bi

 

Cullen: He is a tossup between Bi and Straight

 

Beardy:  Straight

 

Solas: Bi

 

Vivienne: Bi or F/F only

 

Dorian: Gay or Bi

 

Iron Bull: Straight...restricted to female Qunari Inquisitors....(Possibly to female humans)

(sorry....but considering this is BioWare...you won't see Dwarf/Iron Bull or and Elf/Iron Bull romance.)

 

Varric: Either not romancable or restricted to female Dwarf Inquisitors.

 

Elf Rogue: Bi

 

Scribbles: Straight or Bi

 

I also do NOT believe Bioware is going to follow the Traynor/Cortez route when it comes to the NPC romances.

Hmm that wouldn't make much since because that's not Cass herself expressing her interests but what other people think of her. Plus even if she did like M!Hawke and/or Galyan, there's nothing saying she doesn't like women, either.

Garrus and Varric were the two companions I always bring along in all my playthroughs, male and female and even if I don't romance Garrus. Every hero needs an awesome, incredibly sarcastic wingman to back them up, it's one of the rules!

 

You know, I never thought about it having that kind of connotation. I always saw bromances as being more akin to that of an old married couple (regardless of any of the genders or orientations involved), since you usually find that the only other person who has that level of connection with and knowledge about someone tends to be a spouse.

Well, I hope that Sera is romanceable for guys. She seems like a romance I'd like and I think Lobsel would be disappointed if he cannot romance an elf female with his Dalish Inquisitor. I don't see Bioware disappointing any elf fans so I see bi for Sera at least.

 

I see Cassandra and Cullen being straight based on previous canon.

 

As for the rest, I am not sure. I don't make guesses based on people's physical appearances so that really limits me.

You mean besides "No City Elf Inquisitors".
