Maybe I'm crazy, but I feel like I'm not getting a proper score for killing things with my newly acquired Venom. I really noticed it when I took down a Guardian with bank shots, which I thought I did by myself, and got a "+311 kill" on Gold.
Am I making things up?
Venom score glitch?

You're probably just doing it wrong. Kill stuff better for better scores.

The "kill" scores you get aren't always accurately reflected in your score. I've dropped into a game before, shot at and killed the Atlas next to me which happened to be down to one bar of armor. I got the +3024 kill message show up, and as I was about to quit the game noticed around 300 points only.
I've also had instances in games where I was soloing a wave, and had scores like +124 for boss kills.
This makes kill steal complaints funny to me.

"+0 Assist" is the best though.

Don't think there's any "score bugs" with Venom...
I'd suggest kill more things outright with it and also get some more levels through UR cards. (when they drop for you in the store 
) If I understood your OP, your Venom's 'newly acquired'...it gets stronger.

I actually have noticed the same bug. Except with me, it happens regardless of weapon or kit. I just score much lower than I think I should, every time.
@Bioware, plz fix in ME4, TIA.

Not a score ****** as I'm just trying to complete the Venom challenges. I already have the "Best" banner so I'm not going to promote anymore and I'm stuck on N7 2700.
Just thought it was odd is all. And I hope the Venom gets better as the stagger effect loses the fun factor after a couple of games.

Well the things that affect the points for a kill are basically how much of the damage you dealt to it, if you used a power on it for some sort of debuff, and then the xp modifiers for game level (bronze, gold, etc), map (random or hazard), and faction (random). So it can depend on how the host has set up the game. Preset map and faction games give you less xp.
If you want to get through the challenge faster, use characters with high weapon damage bonuses as those accumulate xp faster with guns as they naturally do more damage. Also QFI is decent for this since Sabotage's Backfire points often get applied to whatever damaged the target before Sabotage (also why if Sabotage kills a unit outright with no help, the unit does not show up in the kill feed).
