assault rifles, shotguns, snipers all require more finesse to use properly, plus if every class could use all weapons, there wouldn't much point to be a soldier.

It kinda makes sense. Really big guns don't require much precision, just sorta aiming in the general direction is good enough

Umm soldiers get all ammo times and bullet time.
Also, your argument makes no sense. It's much easier to use a conventional fire arms than heavy weapons, which generally require a decent amount of training to use/aim properly.

Who cares guys, not everything has to make sense. I don't consider this game to be realistic, as is so who cares if you can't use heavy weapons, but not and AR, or SG. I'm definitely not complaining
Yea I guess you are right, I just wish that I could equip my heavy weapon on grunt instead of my shepard that way my shep looks more like my concept of an adept.

Obviously some of us care or this topic would not exist
Don't get me wrong - I'm not screaming at BW saying this will ruin my game, or threatening not to buy it etc etc, but one of the things that was fed back to BW about the first game was that people didnt want to be forced to carry weapons they could not use.
Seems in this case its not as bad as we can actually use the heavy weapons - not like with the SR in ME1 where for untrained characters it was more use as a door stop than a gun.
Also, i'm not worried about whether it makes sense fo an adept to carry a heavy weapon. Its just I envision my adept being very lightly armed and armoured, as he doesnt have to rely on weapons. Come my soldier playthrough i'll probably been complaing that I cannot strap a heavy weapon to each of his limbs

Im not planning on using them, but imo they do look like a decent backpack to store my items in.
