How can I make the N7 Destroyer fun?

I've done a DM-less build but that got boring, and his melee isn't exactly all that appealing either. I don't want to use the Spitfire on him because my Geth Trooper already does that.

pls help.

PPR and Spitfire Destroyers are the only ones I've enjoyed. And not really that much... and Spitfire only because it was a duo with a quality player instead of PUGs.

 

Destroyer's the epitome of boring in this game. I think that's all there is to it.

Really? He's one of the most versatile and fun kits in the game. I've specced him a ton of ways and have never not had fun with him.

 

Grenadier Machine  - Venom + Multifrags = killstreaks all day (no HML)

 

No DM Build - pretty mobile and does a lot of damage from a distance

 

Point and click adventure - HML staggers and you just point at what you want dead (no MFG)

 

Best of all worlds - pretty tanky, good damage (no fitness)

 

Pick one and have fun.

Put the Mag Upgrade on the Executioner and take 5A on Devastator Mode.

 

5A isn't needed to get the double magazine :]

Spectre doesn't know how to get two-shot executioner. Noted. Is the kit not fun for you because he is so mind-numbingly OP, or is that you fail at sync killing enemies, or that..... His no-DM Venom Grenadier build is hilariously broken and fun, and otherwise I guess he is just a we bit too efficient. I happen to like efficiency.

may I ask why that should be noted?

I don't think he is OP, in any sense of the word. Sync Kills can be avoided by turning DM off. The Venom Grenadier build is just way too boring, similar to how I feel about the Nova Vanguard.

The build I enjoyed the most is the melee build with venom. His melee has a ridiculous AoE to it, and with 3 stagger options (venom, hawk and MFGs), you can get up close 'relatively' safely.

 

In general, I find the destroyer boring too. I once left a game with typhoon DM destroyer mid-way because I got bored, lol. True story!

Works wonders. GPS to stagger stuff, Typhoon to dunk boss mobs.

 

Alternatively, Raider or Claymore for the shotgun.

I take the term Spectre to be exclusive to the legitimate best of the best, and they knew that already, as did I. I cannot help you find a kit to be more fun; there are only so many ways to play any kit, and we have discussed his ways. They are all fun to me, he is one of my most played kits because weapon challenges.

He is a dominator, and so if this is boring play Shuriken Volus Sentinel and get nuts.

dm spec'd for magazine size, ppr & piranha.

 

ppr takes down enemies in the distance, piranha for the up close & personal encounters (and the nostalgia of having an 8 shot clip)

I used to hate the destroyer too for the mind numbing lameness. but this build is funny and effective.

Executioner or Claymore. MFGs are quite fun as well.

If those are your beliefs toward the group's reason for exsistance, I won't argue against it.

however, I couldn't care less about being called the "best of the best". If that was the sole purpose of the group's exsistance, I wouldn't want to be any apart of that.

anyway, you say he's your most played kit because of weapon challenges. I never cared for any of the challenges, the only one I went out of my way for was N7 Mastery. I just prefer to play the game with whatever I'm in the mood for.

I decided I wanted to play the N7 Destroyer again, so I'm asking for a little help.
