I never knew the "Afterlife" music was borrowed from EA's Need for Speed: High Stakes. Of course, they do have their differences, but you have to really listen to both versions to hear the differences. Considering both are EA published, it's not surprising, but since NFS: HS was released on PSOne, it doesn't really matter, but I was really surprised to know that the song existed long before Mass Effect.

While I didn't purchase it, I have downloaded both versions. The links were on a couple of youtube videos. If anyone is interested, I could dig through my history and find the videos with the download links for them.

Yeah, I downloaded it too. Beware, one of the links tries to download some malware to your PC. My AV allowed the music file to download but blocked the malware.
