First off, hello all! Hope everyone is doing well. With that said...

I'm so sick of the SoZ intro and it's music when you start the game. Is there a way to change it back to the original movie/music/menu?

I really hope it's something like renaming a file or some such? If it's really complicated, then I'll just have to live with it I suppose. But I'm ready to give it a try, so fire away please!

Thank you in advance for taking the time to read this, it's appreciated.

Yes, just look in your music folder, pick one you like, and rename it to nx2_mus_maintheme.bmu.  You can play the files directly with VLC player if you don't have anything else that plays them.

As for the menu, you could use my mod.  http://www.nexusmods...nter2/mods/32/?

Thank goodness for those mods. Not sure if it's included in your mod, Tchos but I use the Mask of the Betrayer main menu and theme and a blue background.

It's very relaxing music and I like blue better than green.

I use the MotB music theme for mine, but the original NWN2 menu screen (the one included with the mod, which I edited for widescreen).

Hello again!

Thanks for the responses. I was able to change the second menu and that music, it works great! But is there a way to change the the first menu with the version number in the upper left corner and the menu says: Play/Toolset/DM Client/Read Me/Update/Exit? It also plays that annoying music too. When I click on, "Play" it plays the various company logos. I'm just trying to clarify which menu I'm talking about now. Do I need to launch the game with something else maybe? A different .exe file or something? Or is there another thing to put in my override folder?

Thanks for all of the help it's appreciated, and that's no bull.  ;)

You're talking about the launcher.  You don't need to use the launcher to play the game.  You can either execute the game application directly, or use Skywing's Client Extension, which uses a different launcher that launches the game immediately.  I recommend using the Client Extension for its fixes and features.

Ah-Ha! Thanks for the quick reply! I'll look into Skywing's Client Extension and see if it's in the Vault. I really appreciate this as the launcher music is what's really getting to me. Love the game though and we'll keep playing it, hopefully with more sanity now.

the Launcher music would need to be changed in the installation folder\Music

mus_autorun.wav, back it up and copy+rename something else to the same path\filename ... ( i use the credits music there, very mellow )

ps. mus_autorun2.wav is the "click" - which could be reduced in volume substantially ...
