Hi All,

I'm hoping to find some help with some bardic issues I'm having.

I'm doing a new run through of the OC and my main character, a multiclass bard does not seem to be gaining the +1 bonus to inspire courage from the leadership feat.

Char build:

http://nwn2db.com/build/?182663

Additionally I'm bringing Grobnar along and he's got Song of the Heart, but it doesn't seem to be providing +1 to inspire regeneration as I was hoping.

Grobnar:

My PC and party is currently level 9.

I have several mods / customization installed, which could be causing a conflict? Is there an easy way to find out?

Here are the items in my override folder:

BuffEffects1.5
Bumped_Terrain_1_of_3
Bumped_Terrain_2_of_3
Bumped_Terrain_3_of_3
compmonai2.2
cyricc_horizontaltargetframes
Grass_Desat__Retex
horizontalpartyframes
hotbarx5
KaedPRCPack_v1.42.1_Override_Dialogtlk
NWN2betterheads
Olbuffs
RestChangeFixed
tinyspellbook
TreesTexturesOverhaul_v1
UI
united_colors

I've also got the NWN2_OC_Makeover_SoZ_Edition which lists there is some incompatibility with Kaedrin's PRC in it's FAQ, but I haven't deciphered how to fix, the FAQ states:

"Posted by Vreejack  at 2010-07-16
Merging SoZ and Kaedrin's PRC.
I created a "ZZ" directory in the override folder so that everything I wrote would load last(I assume that works.) [Author's Note: It doesn't.] So far four files seem to be important: k_mod_... heartbeat, pc_loaded, player_equip, and player_rest.
I made my own four versions of these files and put them in ZZ.
k_mod_heartbeat.NSS--> I added Kaedrin's line:
ExecuteScript("cmi_mod_hb", OBJECT_SELF);
to the end of yours.
k_mod_pc_loaded.NSS--> I used Kaedrin's.
k_mod_player_rest.NSS--> I used yours.
k_mod_player_equip.NSS--> I added Kaedrin's
ExecuteScript("ccs_player_equip", oPC);
to the end of yours.
-----
Since Kaedrin no longer releases his code full compatibility is not possible. Fortunately if the Makeover is installed in the NWN2 Campaign folder as recommended any incompatibilities with Kaedrin's should be very minor and only impact Makeover features such as the on screen clock, resting limitations, and item level restrictions, not class enhancements provided by Kaedrin's PrC.
"

Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance!

The Bardic Inspirational benefits from Leadership and Song of the Heart (as well as Inspirational Boost, etc) happen right in the inspirations' spellscripts, eg

nw_s2_sngincour
nw_s2_snginregn

they simply check if the Bard has the catalyzing Feat and if so, increments a bonus, then applies it. I can't see/ think of any obvious conflicts with your list, and the k_mod_* scripts and their derivatives wouldn't/shouldn't affect casting Inspirations like this ...

you could check around for duplicates of those 2 files, in Docs\NwN2\Override as well as install\NwN2\Override.

triple check your number-crunching too,

Thanks kevL, I found that OLBuffs that I was using had duplications, removing the override seems to have fixed the issue for now.

There looks to be an OL buff that is compatible with an older vesrion of K's pack, perhaps I can try that.

I'll look into it and update this thread with results when I have a chance.

Thanks again kevL!

yeh uh, the OLBuffs compatibility pack doesn't look completely compatible with newer kPrC pack

I mean, i took a peek and notice that CasterLevel isn't determined quite proper for the kPrC. Though they should work if you want to go through the merging (ie. deletion/ replacement) process and, uh, suffer with older versions of Kaedrin's spells/enhancements.

And newer spells probably exist that OLBuffs doesn't (even) cover, fwiw.

[edit] Since the Buffs-mod probly isn't really relevant to the OC, suggest just to remove it from Override
