Jade Empire allowed a polygamous relationship for male characters with two women being able to share him. Do you think it will be possible to have a romance between three characters who love each other equally? I mean, maybe we could romance one or the other or both together, and if we chose to romance neither they'd get together without the Inquisitor. I've just been wondering if that's something we have a possibility of seeing; there is precedent for it.

I really doubt it'll happen, and I'm pretty sure DG already shot the idea down, but I guess I wouldn't be against it as long as everything is equal between all parties and it doesn't come off as demeaning. I probably wouldn't do it (unless I had the option for Varric & the Bull), but power to those who would.

In Origins, there was a way to have both Leliana and Morrigan be in a relationship with you at the same time.
Leliana: "The Maker teaches us to share our blessings." is still one of the funniest lines of all time involving LIs. ![]()

Seriously?? No way. I call bullshit. I can't see Morrigan ever sharing anyone, let alone with someone like Leliana.

Yep.

But that's still just sharing. I was thinking more of a true relationship between all three.

Yep.
The wiki confirmed it. Wow. I never knew that. Interesting.

They have dialogue for it, so no.
The Zevran-Alistair one was a bug I believe since they patched it.

More like a work around, or a loop hole lol Technically, you actually have to end your relationship with Morrigan. But there's a way to resume it later lol

You sure? Looks to me like the whole thing relies upon getting around the dialogue check that's supposed to prevent this from happening.

As Jake said, it is more of a gaming of the system since they had dialogue written and recorded for it.

Not that I know of. But then, it's been years since I've done it.

It wasn't so much 'shooting it down' as 'yeah that'd be a ****-ton of work, maybe someday' sort of thing. So, you know, he's open to it. And on the day it happens all my hopes and dreams with come true because ot3s are the solution to everything ever.

I'm probably going to be told that I'm wrong, but such a concept sounds like complete bullshit to me.
Yeah no matter what you do one person is always going to feel a little left out.

Honestly, polyamory could be the answer to many love triangles. I never like how it is done, in games it seems slightly fetishistic and normally only happens near the end of the game right before the love scene, hardly ever to be mentioned again. If they could do it while treating it like a real relationship, yes do it! If not, I sincerely hope it never comes up.
This is true! As fun as a 'threesome hookup' type thing can be (isabela and zevran), they shouldn't keep that tradition but advertise it as a poly relationship. I want stuff like my headcanons for my Tabris and Anora making peace with each other eventually since their father-father situation was vv messed up. Complicated emotional stuff, not just 'two breasts are better than one so imagine how great FOUR are!'
ot3s are always the solution to love triangles, yo.
eta: stupid censors. what if i was talking about BIRDS, bioware?? WHAT ABOUT THAT

I would LOVE to see polyamorous and/or communal marriage in a game. That would delight me! It is something I have wanted to see (in a BioWare game) since Baldur's Gate, actually. I understand it would be a lot of work, and recall the chats referenced above, but I think it has a lot of potential to be engaging and interesting.
Having threesomes or moresomes flings is one thing, and usually in the media said flings are made up of one dude plus many women in a fetishized manner, but having actual polyamorous romance and love between several parties is quite another.
