I wouldn't really mind it( not a fan of it), but they've already confirmed that it won't be an option in DAI a few times now, one ny Gaider, and once in the LGBT podcast from pax prime last year. Though they did say they might consider it at somepoint.

I'm sure Bioware could write a polygamous relationship, if they were so inclined.

I'm not sure it would read as "equal love" so much as two women being made to share a man who doesn't truly respect them.

To be honest, I probably wouldn't go with it, but polygamy would certainly be an interesting option.

I don't think there'll be a polygamous relation inngame. There could be some sort of orgy like in origins though.

I'm fine with the concept of polyamorous relationships, where all 3 people in the relationship have feelings for each other.

I wouldn't like it if they did it like Jade Empire, where the male character is basically starting up a harem or something. Silk Fox and Dawn Star weren't interested in each other, only the male PC.

Just my opinion. I think the poly hookups in Dragon Age are 1. superfluous, 2. a waste of resources, and 3. eyeroll-worthy. Another thing, the devs have a hard enough time coming up with resources for solid two-person romances, so I can't see them scripting out a huge/detailed polygamous romance. I could see them doing another fleeting poly "hookup" which, to me, just feels like fan service. (Prepare for the subsequent eye-rolling on my part.)

I can't help but saying: I do not understand players' obsession with threesomes in these games. I'd rather see companions get jealous and dump the PC, take him/her back, and dump him/her again, bouncing around from relationship to relationship (then he/she just ends up alone) like most desperate idiots tend to do in real life. lol

Threesomes are a necessity in Dragon Age! http://www.google.co...tart=58&ndsp=15

In Origins, there was a way to have both Leliana and Morrigan be in a relationship with you at the same time.

Leliana: "The Maker teaches us to share our blessings." is still one of the funniest lines of all time involving LIs.

What about Morrigan and Zevran? Cause, hot.

Anyway... I support a three-way relationship. I don't see the problem with it. My male Inquisitor, Solas and Dorian would make for one hell of a sexy time.

I can already see the fanfiction.

Oh god, your avatar.

About Leliana and Morrigan romance at the sime time it is a bug well even not bug simple using holes in game mechanic because devs didn't think to prevent possibilities start romance for second or even third time after you broke up with character. It is clear that non of 4 Li's won't accept another niether leiana or morrigan wanted to share you can even propose that for morrigan she won't be pleased and she say that leliana won't be neither.

So in the end you use gameplay mechanic that allows you start romance again for example you can tell leliana that you see her as nothing more than girl that carries equipment she won't react good on that then you can start romance over again because you asked about marjolene...

I'd be okay with this so long as it wasn't fan-servicey. If the PC enters into a polyamorous relationship with two other characters, that means they should also be able to take other lovers.

Not necessarily. You could be in a committed relationship; it would just be with two people instead of one.

There should be a scenario in which the Inq's sex friends fall in love with each other, then disappears with the Inq's money and lives happily ever after in one of the endings.

They would be crucified by the fandom. Also, that's not really a threesome. (...Unless they invited you along?)

Sure.

But what people are really asking for here is the ability of the player character to romance two characters and not have to choose between them. Meanwhile, those two characters must be exclusive to the player character. Its not so much that the players think a polyamorous relationship in the series would be interesting, so much as they just want their player character to be able to have threesomes with two women.

For that reason I don't think Bioware should go that route. If they do however, it should come with the consequences of the two characters in question agreeing to a polyamorous arrangement with the caveat that they won't be exclusive to the player character.

Of course there'll be a threesome. It's just that pc unintentionally introduced their li to their true soul mate, they fell in love then ditched you afterwards.

Think of the lulz. :)

Ah. That's not really what this thread is supposed to be about, but I can see what you mean. Yes, that's a reasonable caveat. Like if you wanted to romance both Isabella and Merrill in II, then Isabella could still have her sex friends thing with Fenris. As long as everyone knew what they were getting into I could see that being okay, too.

DHMG is enough for me. Quite interested in Leliana. She was my LI in Origins. Oh, didn't mention that I also romanced Morrigan too.

Mm, most of the thread has been talking about a three-person committed relationship, with occasional interjections from people going 'threesome are so HAWT' that have been ignored, so I don't really know where you're getting this from.

I like the idea of being able to have an explicitly open relationship with an LI, as opposed to simply implied as in the cases of Isabela and Zevran because all open relationships should be discussed beforehand (otherwise it's cheating. If it's under the table and not agreed to by your partner, it's cheating. You're not polyamorous, you're just an *******.) and I'd like to actually see that on-screen in-game. I don't know, ironically, if I'd want to see that conversation coming from the first explicit triad setup.

Instead of a threesome, perhaps DA:I will turn it all on its head and make you an NPC's love interest, forcing you to fawn and flutter around them for a change.

You can end origins with both zevran and alistair being romanced. (It's how I assume an heir to the throne gets produced if you're queen)

I don't see why it would be impossible. I doubt they'll ever do a truly polyamorous relationship, but if they did it right, I'd welcome it.

That's pretty much what you had to do in DAO. That's not a change. That's the usual.
