Considering I just started the trilogy in July(or what is June? Can't remember) in 2013, I'll probably continue playing it for a while. Over the past few years, I've been re-exploring my interest in SCI-FI. My interest waned for a long time, but was rekindled when I read Frank Herbert's Dune four years ago, and it....truly sparked something in me. Hell, I'll even say Mass Effect rekindled my interest in Video Games(not sure if that's a good thing or not), since I started to get bored of them. Fallout was the only other RPG I played, but in some ways, Mass Effect blows it out of the water(there are few exceptions to this of course). Been debating on trying Dragon Age, but I get the feeling that may not be a good idea in some respects.

Bah, I'm rambling now. Anyways, yes OP, I still see myself playing the trilogy in the foreseeable future.

I highly recommend Dragon Age. I find it's a bigger time suck than Mass Effect though, Origins especially.

Yes, I will continue playing the Trilogy, as there really is nothing else that compares to it for all intents and purposes. Mass Effect was unique when it came out and is without doubt my overall favorite Sci-Fi story (excluding the train wreck of an ending). I will likely buy the next game as well, but will certainly not get so tied up in it as I did the original Trilogy. Not sure why, but Mass Effect (specifically Shepard and his crew) appealed to me on a personal level in ways few other stories have. The ending left a bit of an empty hole, but overall it still is a great story and game. I wish Bioware had stretched the buildup of the Reaper threat over more than three games, but oh well. I have also played the Dragon Age games, but for me they do not appeal in the same way ME has.

Heh, that's what concerns me.

All that recent Bioware problems have done to me is..:

Dragon Age - Went from 'will buy after launch, maybe on discount' ---> to 'I may get it sometime'

Mass Effect - Went from 'MUST BUY NOW, COLLECTORS AND PREORDER' ---> to 'will buy after launch, maybe on discount'

So I haven't abandoned their products. However, they've ensured that I'll be sticking to playing their older games and more looking at their newer games with caution. While I've gotten more interested in Inquisition over time, and I really want to see what is coming with Mass Effect, I've never once seriously considered "I want to preorder a special edition of this game ASAP" yet, content to playing older Bioware games, and other video games in general.

In between Skyrim and Child of Light, I somehow still want to play ME.

So yeah, I'll probably keep playing.

Just started another trilogy run and certainly won't be my last. It's taken over my gaming life somewhat. I'll go to other games like gta or l4d or ftl and always away back to mass effect. I can't not play it. It's too good.

Yes, most definitely. I love this trilogy and I am not near ready enough to call it quits. If the MEHEM hadn't been done, I doubt I'd be playing anymore but now I can keep playing and feel good about it after every time I reach the end.

Certainly. I've only finished the trilogy with four classes, so I foresee at least two more playthroughs. After that, I may actually brace myself and do a BroShep playthrough some time in the future. Maybe even romance somebody else than Liara?

Nah, not likely! But, the options are there. There is still so much for me to explore in this game.

And frankly, I'm playing the games for characters. Sure, I like the story, but the characters are the main focus of my attention in this game. I don't think I've ever gotten this attached to characters since playing Baldur's Gate. And unlike so many, I wasn't bothered by the ending nearly as much. Probably in large part thanks to the fact I never saw original endings, only EC version. And I'm cool with that.

So I foresee myself playing the trilogy many times again.

Yes! Even though I've played all three games many times, there are so many variations and dialog as of yet not seen/heard. I just recently did a trilogy run-through as an Engineer, even though I don't particularly like that class, just to get the interrupt on Omega. I still haven't managed to get through ME as a pure renegade so I can get the side quest on the volcanic planet with the Krogan war lord. I tend to let my paragon tendencies torpedo that. I only have a few play throughs as maleshep and have only romanced Liara and Ashley so far.

Its been quite a while now since the last dlc for this trilogy was released.

So I was wondering with other good games coming this year and even Mass Effect Next maybe next year will you keep doing

Trilogy Playthroughs or do you plan (or already have) to close Shepard & Co.'s Journey forever?

The Mass Effect Trilogy is my favourite game series so I actually plan to play it after every two years(just so that you forget some stuff and can experience it again). Even through the graphics and gameplay are not that good anymore(especially for ME1) I just love the characters, story etc. and definetly want to revisit these games again.

What do you think?

NO.

NO, NO, NO, NO and NO!

I've played ME literally dozens of times, I think that even more than I've played games like Morrowind, or even Minecraft. The same for ME2. In fact, I've gone into agony playing both again just to regain my saves for ME3.

Maybe I'll play a final ME3 NG+, maaaaaybe, but I'll have to be pretty bored to do so. I'll surely continue playing ME3 MP, thought. And maybe some Armax Arsenal Arena. Both never gets old :D

Sure I'll keep playing.

Replaying the trilogy is like retelling some grand epic tale. It is basically the same space opera that changes a little every time it is retold.

Preach it.

It's amazing how little tweeks here and there can keep a trilogy fresh and exciting.

I still reread "Good Omens" even though I've read it, at a rough estimate, about a metric bajillion of times.

I read other books in between, though. (Granted, I reread the good ones that aren't Terry Pratchett involved, too).

Why would I NOT do that for vidja games?
