For me its either knight enchanter or rift mage .i just need what spells they have so i can make my choice.

I'm not sure I need to read through them and see the actual spells first. In general whatever specialization will make my Inquisitor more godlike.

Is there anywhere official that actually gives details about the specialisations?   I've only seen Knight Enchanter on the official site and no actual real detail about what this entails.  I like playing mages so am interested to see what the specs involve since people are saying that Spirit Healer is out which is one of my favoured ones, having used it in both Origins and DA2.

Necromancer is just a less desirable Blood Mage, for me.

I want to do all of them, but I'll probably go Necromancer first. I'm hoping the spec has to do with the Nevarran Mortalitasi (sp?). I really like the descriptions we've been given of them so far.

I plan on doing a full playthrough of each specialization, class, and race but my very first run will be of a human necromancer who is pragmatic to the point of being viewed as heartless.

 

Then a racist elf artificer who shamelessly plays the race card at every opportunity.

 

Next a vengeful vashoth warrior that sees this as a chance to free the kossith of the Qun.

 

After that i'll have a rift mage who thinks he's the messiah. Dunno about race yet.

I have no idea what a rift mage is supposed to do, so right now it's the only one I'm not considering.

 

I think I'll be a knight enchanter in a file where I take more than one mage with me (tempted to make a four mage party... Solas and DHMG at least are going to be taken to a bunch of places) and necromancer in files where I take only one more mage or none.

Really, just by their names (and the brief description of knight enchanter), I'm not really interested in any of them. Which sucks, cos I really want to play a mage my first playthrough.

 

I'm hoping rift mage will be cool, or that necromancer isn't based entirely on summoning the dead...

Based on the names (which is all we have to go on at this point, really) I'm thinking Knight Enchanter. But you never know, Rift Mage certainly sounds like it could be interesting.

Probably Knight Enchanter. Though if the one of the other's give me more damage and destruction, I will choose that one.
