So, which companion within the Inquisition trailer is Judas?

So, I've been getting a feeling that Inquisition draws a lot of it's inspiration on religion. By this, I mean to say that there are some obvious signs such as the game being titled Inquisition & during the trailer there is a scene reminiscent of Da Vinci's The Last Supper.

So, being that there are some obvious religious inspirations within the game & trailer, I am left to wonder: "Which companion is Judas?"

Personally, I'm inclined to think that Bioware followed Da Vinci's motif & has the unnamed character between Varric & Solas in the role of the Betrayer.

Of course, in the painting Judas was the 5th person from the left, but he's counted as the 4th due to Peter leaning behind him & making his head appear 1st from left to right. So maybe Solas?

I know this isn't very coherent, it's more the ramblings of someone whose infant has finally gone to sleep & I am slowly going to follow him to the dreamworld.

Ultimately, I am just curious as to whether anyone else has thought this or am I just looking too much into it?

it has been thought of already, and I'm fairly sure people are over thinking it, then again I thnk they over think a lot of things.

personally I think assuming someone betrays you at all it'll likely be related you how you run things, but I could be wrong.

Someone betraying you isn't unique in video games and, to be honest, if/when it happens.. it won't be all that difficult to make religious parallels since it's generic greed, selling out, good v evil, etc. I also think it's a stretch to believe Bioware would just lay it out that obviously.

I think it's enough that each companion will have his or her own interests which will likely conflict with another companion's interests.

Do we really need a traitor?

Depending on your choices, I imagine several companions will act against you (as they did in Origins and DA2).

Has a judas been confirmed? I dont see why they'd force a character to betray you because that suspense is gone once you find out and beat the game, unless its random depending on your character but i just dont see why they'd do that. Every play through i would know who's about to betray me

The traitor is the Inquisitor himself. At the game's climax, he stabs himself in the back, then gloats evilly about how easy it was to gain his own trust.

If I am forced to stab myself in the back, I will be highly amused.

Then upset.

don't worry time travel is involved, so your companions with use ancient elven time magic to save you... that also is how the fade tear happens. just as you planned.

I'm hoping it wasn't a Last Supper reference because if it was, it was a bad one.

Here's a good one.

Notice the lack of people standing at a slight angle, staring expressionless into space.

It'll be Varric. It'll come to a point where he's forced to choose between Hawke and the Inquisitor and the Bro won't go that low.

How about we are the betrayer?  Would be fun if in the end we are the one that screws all our companions over.

That would be a forced choice pissing off a majority of us, the option to be the betrayer would be very interesting

While it does look like The Last Supper kind of, I always get more of a "King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table" vibe from it.

If I were to make a twist where a companion betrays the party I wouldn't make it so telegraphed where in people only needed to see one trailer to see who it is. So I doubt bioware has done thst here, or if they have, it wont be the one in judas's location in the trailer painting.

If I had to guess I'd say Cole. I don't trust him. He has shifty eyes.

It would be interesting if we are the slow arrow of the game.
