Obviously every single thing done in game should solve the immediate problem, before making everything else worse in the long run. Because we are taking inspiration from ES here.

DWARVES CONQUER THE WORLD AND THEIR SUPREMECY IS UNQUESTIONED, MY INQISITOR RULES SIDE BY SIDE WITH MY WARDEN AS THE BEST GAL PAL TEAM OF AWESOME DWARVEN NOBILITY EVER
I mean for my first run. Obviously my second run with a qunari inquisitor will probably not do that. She'll want more of a qun themed ending.

Like the Season 1 Finale of Heroes would be pretty cool.
The Inquisitor looses control of their powers and One of your companions (LI for the Feels) has to kill you to prevent another fade explosion that could destroy the inquisition.
Or on a brighter note the Inquisitor just looses their powers in a showdown with the Bad guy in a harry potter vs voldemort kind of scenario. (Survive or Die)
These are the only interesting things I think they would do with the Inquisitor's powers. Otherwise it's a "You, Jesus Christ saved the world" Bullshit that I absolutely hate.
For the big picture of the DA series I expect a resolution that will Affect Orlas & Fereldan only regardless of what happens so we won't have reason to return in future games. It's about bloody time we see the other 70% of the world.
I want this series to wrap itself up in another 2 to 3 games max so we won't have to wait about 10 years for Bioware to finish this story.

As long as it makes sense and I dont feel like I wasted my time I will be happy.
Like at the end of DA2.
Hawke...does nothing to stop the war, in fact Hawke gives it one if not more pushes.
Really in the end its crazy.

Cliffhangers make me talk about a game/tv show/movie alot more than a polished ending, if they could finish DA:I in a way that ends the Inquisitors story but ends on a cliffhanger to some plot or makes it known he/she will be back for another installment, i think i would enjoy that.
That aside though in one word EPIC, ending needs to be epic, an i dont believe we have had that yet in a DA installment, maybe was a limitation in the game engine i dont know i just never got a epic feeling from any the endings so far.
ME3 nearly got there,an i dont mean the choice,i mean from the cutscene of your war effort jumping in to the landing an the battle on the ground, that was nearly epic but again it lacked something, im no sure what to make it epic

I hope that all the plot points from DAO and DA2 are pretty much resolved and for the rest of DAI, I expect that most things should be resolved unless they want to set up for another sequel, then they should leave a few things open but still have the Inquisitor's story finished then unless we are going to continue playing him/her.

Ideal ending: A completely satisfactory closure to the plot of the game, while still leaving enough questions for an interest in a sequel and additional stories.

To have actually have an epilogue this time.
I don't want to have Varric or some scrub lazily narrating/dictating the ending to some third party. I want to see what the main characters are up to after I beat the final boss.
As Wikipedia would put it:
An epilogue is a final chapter at the end of a story that often serves to reveal the fates of the characters. Some epilogues may feature scenes only tangentially related to the subject of the story. They can be used to hint at a sequel or wrap up all the loose ends. They can occur at a significant period of time after the main plot has ended.

I shall bring order to this land and soften the bas to allow the Qunari a better foothold when they arrive. I will smile when the antaam arrives to end this madness.
'Struggle is an illusion. The tide rises, the tide falls, but the sea is changeless. There is nothing to struggle against. Victory is in the Qun.'

I like the music, anyway, I would like the endings to be varied based on what you did in DA:I and a little varied on what you did in previous games. Also, setting up the any post-game DLC and the next game in the series. Also, bad ass outro!

No pretensions that thousands of years of history and social problems are resolved with some end of history narrative that gains secured by the Inquisitor are forever more untouchable.

Since I don't know the story, I can't make any sort of judgement for how I think it should end.
But I don't want the existence of the Maker to be confirmed either way, and curing him with the power of faith or whatever sounds cheesy as hell. I would probably puke.

The normal, expected static watercolor-like art, accompanied with suitably epic music, with a remark or two about your individual companions' fates. Something about the Chantry, Orlais, the Empress. Maybe even a tidbit about the Mage rebellion, now backed into a pathetic corner after your championing the Inquisition's hunt to bend them back into tools. Finally, the music slows to a foreboding crawl...
White-out to a rustic room. A window looks out to marsh lands. There are several cairns seen through the window. A...long, ovoid shape laying in a bed. Switch to first-person perspective. You're drugged, so only feel a dull pain where your limbs once were. Morrigan enters, and you are filled with certainty that she used you. Used everyone. You try to say something. Anything. You find you can't. You have no tongue. As despair washes over you, you wonder...why are you still alive? Hadn't you sacrificed yourself to close the Breach? Morrigan removes her clothes and you feel a stirring. Not all your limbs are missing. Fade to black. Fast-forward nine months to the same room. There is no evidence of your stay. Wailing fills the air. A baby is born. As Morrigan relaxes, a look of quiet contemplation comes over her face as she stares out the window. There is a new cairn. Credits.

P.s. That's not entirely true, but, I mean obviously Cullen and my quizzy have to make at least one baby. It's required.

Confronting the Maker and learning that he is a creep that speaks funny and drools will be the ultimate ending. Also bonus if Morrigan and Maker get married. She wants to make an Avengers movie, she has to give birth to superpowered children.
